Beauty Pie is a buyers club for beauty addicts. Basically you get access to luxury products from the worlds leading labs for less money. There are multiple layers of membership. You can pay $5/mo for $50 spending limit, $10/mo for $100, $20/mo for 200 or $99/yr for $100 and two months free. Beauty Pie sources their products from 20 world leading labs that make many of the worlds luxury products. Ultimately the idea is that you get a product made from the same lab as a luxury brand for less. You’re essentially paying for the membership to have access to it. It’s a UK based brand.
Some of the small details are you have to do a 3 month minimum then you can cancel. You have to pay shipping every time you order. If you like skincare don’t get the $5 membership. All the good skincare requires at least a $100 spending limit if not stacking two months or more to get it. So you can stack your credit meaning you can pay $30 for three months (you have to wait three months to redeem your product) but then you get $300 worth of credit. You also only pay shipping once then as well. Your $300 worth of credit is at the reduced product price.
So for example of the Superactive Capsules it lists the typical price as $65 but you pay $12.38. So it uses $65 of you spending credit and you have to pay $12.38 plus shipping. Details per Beauty Pie:

The pink capsules are neat. Twist off the top to use the single use vial. The texture is thicker. It’s hydrating but with a very silicone heavy texture. I liked to mix it in with a serum as a booster. I loved the idea but honestly the silicone/dimethicone was too high for me and it was not my favorite. I loved the idea of a peptide and sodium hyaluronate booster though.
Next I tried Super Stem Cell Moisture Shot Serum. Details per Beauty Pie:

The serum has a hydrating feel and it’s housed in a super luxe glass bottle. Beauty Pie packaging is actually spot on. It’s heavy duty, luxe, has a minimalist aesthetic. I actually really like their packaging. This serum feel hydrating going on but it has a bit of a silicone texture that didn’t play well with everything else unless I let it fully sink in for five minutes. I ended up not using it as much as the other. It does have prickly pear, tomato leaf cell cultures & aloe but the silicone texture is what killed this one for me.

This is more of an essence style product. It’s thinner texture (but still thick enough to be a serum) with a hydrating refreshing feel. It’s got prickly pear, tomato leaf culture & jeju green tea glycoproteins. It has a fragranced scent but it’s light. There is denatured alcohol and dimethicone in this one but it feels light, sinks in and has no issues layering with other products or drying me out. It feels like an essence.
I also grabbed two hand creams and a lipstick. The makeup is an easy way to add in something small to your order. I grabbed the Futurelipstick Luxe Shine in Nothing Nude. Details per Beauty Pie:
This super deluxe, high-shine moisturizing lipstick was created by our favourite elite Italian lab, with precious oils for a buttery feel, smoothing gloss finish, and ultra-shiny shine.
This is your typical glossy hydrating lipstick. It’s almost a butter texture lipstick meaning it’s soft and hydrating. It melts into the lips like butter. Nothing Nude is a slightly shimmery pinked nude. It’s glossy, hydrating and has a slim case. It’s nice.
The Super Retinol Anti-Aging Hand Treatment is a lightweight cream. Details per Beauty Pie:
It’s not everybody that needs this amazing Swiss formula slow-release retinol hand cream treatment. But when no amount of moisturizing rolls them back to how you remember them, or if that ‘little bit’ too much sun is starting to spill the beans (you’ll see it as sun spots) buy a few tubes, apply it every evening, and watch them refresh.

This I bought as a hopeful cheaper replacement to my EVE LOM hand treatment. It’s got a hydrating light creamy texture that sinks in quickly but still hydrates. It’s got a slick kind of texture. It’s non-greasy as well. For retinol I find it gentle and non-irritating. I also found I still liked my EVE LOM more. It was more effective than this version. I’ll use this one up but it’s not a cheaper replacement.
The Plantastic Nourishing Shea Butter Hand Cream is my favorite that I picked from this round. Details per Beauty Pie:

This has a light yet rich and supremely hydrating texture. It has a great slip to it, it’s not greasy and hydrates really well. I really adore this hand cream. It’s probably one of my top favorites I’ve ever tried. It’s really quite good. Overall I’m really interested to go through the Beauty Pie line. It’s not as cheap as I thought it would be. Mostly because of the shipping and cost for every item in addition to the membership fee. I find waiting a few months and stacking the buying power helps plus then you’re only paying shipping once versus every month.
Not every item has been the most superb item. Some of them have just been OK meaning worth what I paid for it but not a fantastic savings. I found this first round very silicone heavy. Beauty Pie is a fantastic concept, I’m interested in the idea, I want to run through the full line, plus it’s different. Many of the products in my first purchase round had a lot of silicone and I wasn’t into the texture but the second round was better (more next month hopefully on the second round).
