Charlotte Tilbury Hot Lips Super Cindy: Review & Swatches

I love Charlotte Tilbury's Matte Revolution Lipsticks. I've talked about them here and here. I thought Super Cindy would be the shade for me, as it was the most nude of the bunch. It has the same retail of $32 as the other Matte Revolution Lipsticks as well as the same lovely formula. It's my favorite matte formula because it's not super drying. I already reviewed the formula so I won't talk about that here, just about the color and swatches.

Super Cindy is described as a barely-there taupey nude. I don't really agree with that. It's a medium warm peachy nude with a pretty strong pink feel. There's a touch of shimmer to it, but that's usually true of this formula. It's not shimmery on the lips at all. This feels less like a nude and more of a bright pink peach nude. I was expecting 90s brown and was thinking it would be similar to Very Victoria but warmer. It doesn't feel 90s brown to me. I used a lot of 90s browns in the 90s and this is less brown. I don't feel there's any taupey part to it.

You can see Charlotte's product photo below(taken from charlottetilbury.com) and it looks warm taupey nude. It really turns more pink peach when worn. You can see the tone difference in my swatches versus this photo.
Beyond the color not being what I expected nor matching it's description well, it's a pretty creamy midtone warm peachy pink nude. The pink and peach take over the nude so it feels like more of a colorful shade than a basic nude. Some will love it, some will not. I prefer Very Victoria to this. The formula is fabulous as always.
