This week I’ve been rediscovering some old favorites & have a couple new things I’ve been really enjoying as well. It finally feels like Fall is officially here and I’m super excited. I recently replenished my Fresh Beauty Sugar Lip Treatment in Petal and Sugar Lip Polish. The Sugar Lip Treatment is one of my all time favorite lip balms. It’s got this nice oil meets light waxy balm texture. It’s the perfect blend of oils meets light balm texture. It’s smooth and really nourishing. A lot of the more oily textured balms tend to wear off quickly but Fresh really hydrates and lasts a long time. Petal is a nude pink shade perfect for that your lips but better tint. The Sugar Lip Polish is my all time favorite lip scrub. It uses brown sugar and oils to exfoliate and soften the lips. It works beautifully every time. I’ve never found one that works better. I’ve been using my Peach & Lily Power Calm Hydrating Gel Cleanser a lot lately. It’s a super gentle clear gel cleanser with a low pH. It’s lightly foaming and never makes my skin feel dry or tight. It’s probably one of the best gel cleansers I’ve bought in a while. The low pH of 5.5 is perfect for not stripping the skin and causing barrier issues. The cleanser has camellia, gotu kola, peach extract, hyaluronic acid & cucumber extract. The scent is really light from the camellia, chamomile & lavender. When the Fall weather hits I love using a more liquid foundation. This week I’ve been reaching for an old favorite my Zelens Youth Glow Foundation. I wear shade Beige which is a neutral medium tone. It’s Zelens so you know it’s high quality. It’s got light to medium coverage with a satin dewy skin like finish. It’s got skincare ingredients like beta glucan, sesame protein, hyaluronic acid, shiso leaf, silanols, pearl & diamond powder. It’s one of my all time favorite liquid foundations. It’s not too oily and it doesn’t break down throughout the day, it has a nice glide to it and it lasts well. All while staying hydrating to the skin. It’s a perfect mingle of makeup and skincare.
I recently received the new Votary Super Boost Night Drops. This is a fragrance free overnight soothing treatment with 2% CBD extract. It’s got a heavier oil texture than the Super Seed Facial Oil but a similar natural oil scent. This one has strawberry, flax, hemp, camellia & avocado oils. I’ve even tried mixing a touch with the Super Seed Facial Oil. It’s soothing and a great night oil perfect for the winter to come. I recently started reaching for my Mona di Orio Orio fragrance a lot more. I forgot about it for a while. This is a woody oriental with a hypnotic floral edge. Top notes: mandarin orange, sweet pea and spices. Middle notes: jasmine, olibanum, heliotrope, ylang-ylang and vetiver. Base notes: immortelle, cedar, amber and musk. Sadly this scent is discontinued but the brand has lots of other popular scents. I love La Bella Figura. I finally broke out my Vitamin D + Ergothionen Deep Serum which is a soothing and firming adaptogenic serum. It’s got antioxidant and beta glucan rich mushroom extracts from reishi, black truffle & shiitake plus aloe, coconut fruit juice, prickly pear oil, cupuacu butter, aronia berry, gotu kola, seabuckthorn oil with other botanical extracts. I love the light hydrating gel texture and soothing feel. It’s one of my more favorite serums from the brand. This paired with Aria is really good.
