Long time no post. Sorry about that. Holidays get a little busy, well crazy busy. I just discovered the Beekman1802 brand at Ulta and this Milk Wash Exfoliating Jelly Cleanser is really killer. It's a gel-oil balm with lactic, glycolic and salicylic acids, aloe, chamomile, comfrey and cucumber plus a blend of goat milk, milk probiotic and colostrum. I love gel oil balms, remember to apply these on dry skin then rinse with water. Great for a morning cleanse which is my favorite way to use it. Can use it as a night or second cleanse as well. This does emulsify and rinse clean. I've also been really enjoying the new PSA RESET cleanser. It's a milky meets gel type of cleanser. Think gentle surfactants, acai, pomegranate, manuka honey, yoghurt and grapeseed oil. Has a hint of vanilla scent from vanilla extract, nothing big. Great morning gentle cleanser and also a great night second cleanse. What I love about this creamy one is that it doesn't leave a residue on my skin or feel heavier like some lotion like creamy cleansers can. Review HERE.
I love Hermes Poivre Samarcande a light woody warm and spicy scent. This is another of those sweaty, dirty, spicy skin scents I like. Notes are: pepper, chili pepper, oak, cedar, chinese moss and musk. I love the bottle as well. This is one that's lighter and usually needs a touch up in the day. Lord Jones CBD Body Lotion was one of those items I wasn't sure if I would love but I actually really do love the new fragrance free version. I've been using it as a night hand cream before I put on a thicker layer. Some of you know I have early arthritis in my hands and this helps ease the pain at night. I slather it on every night. I would feel like I'm wasting it on my body as it's a small tube so it would go quickly, though I would use it if I had a bad ache. On my hands it's a very doable amount so it will last. They did recently double the size while reducing the price so that's a bonus. I've been reaching for my Cle de Peau Cream Blush in Perfect Peach (4) a ton. It's just literally the perfect shade for me. I'm sure I've mentioned it every months because it's one of my favorites of all time. Lots of pigment, not too dewy, no too dry. It's the perfect nude, pink peach shade for me. Forever in my makeup kit. Review HERE.
I have been loving the new Victoria Beckham Posh Lipstick in Girl a lot as well lately. It's a neutral pink with a glossy sheen, light coverage, hydrating feel lipstick in a luxe slim case. Love everything about it. It's also really great over the lipliner in shade NO. 02. Swatches HERE. The new Giorgio Armani Neo Nude Natural Glow Foundation became a quick favorite. I wear shade 4.5 which is a light medium with a hint of peach. This has a light, whipped, bouncy, gel texture that's fantastic. It's never heavy and it actually has more coverage than you would expect. Still light to medium but it covers effortlessly with no streaking. It's easy to build up coverage and gives a nice satin finish. It's not drying nor too dewy so I should be able to use this both in the winter and in the summer. Lastly is the new Byredo Space Black Mascara. Not only is it the coolest looking mascara ever, it's actually really pretty decent. It has a small brush head which I really like as it gets into all the corners well plus gets my lower lash line. It does have that new age rubber/plastic style wand which I'm not a fan of normally, but I do like this one. It manages to add volume plus define without clumps. It's not a big lengthener but it does some. This feels more volume and defining to me. It does after about a month dry out and then it flakes sadly, the first month of this was amazing with no flaking, so I think it just dries out eventually. It's not a really wet formula to begin with. More to come on the whole Byredo line.
