Last week I developed a couple of spots after playing with some new coconut oil skincare. So I focused on treating my skin to clear it up along with a light SPF & foundation that I'm just in love with. So whenever I start to get spots I pull out Allies of Skin Promise Keeper Blemish Facial. This light lotion cream easily banishes the spots away with dioic, mandelic, lactic, pyruvic & azelaic acid, colloidal silver, manuka honey, niacinamide, potassium azeloyl diglycinate and pomegranate enzymes (help regulate sebum production). This leave on mask is designed to be an overnight cream that balances the skin, plus it's antibacterial and anti-inflammatory. This cream works. Review HERE.
Another of my all time favorite spot treatments is the Renee Rouleau Anti-Cyst Treatment. I have been using this for about five years easy. I'm on my third bottle. This stuff works magic on spots. It's slow, nothing magically disappears overnight, but if you stick with it this will heal a cyst faster. I love that it's not heavy, sticky and it's doesn't pill. It's basically just: Ethyl Lactate (purified form of lactic acid ester) which purifies within the pore to clear and calm visible cysts and bumps, Methyl Gluceth 20 (reduces visible redness and inflammation) & Citric Acid (gentle exfoliating properties to lift discoloration to prevent discoloration and scarring). My other go to spot treatment is the Skyn Iceland Blemish Dots. I pop one of these on overnight for a reduction in the size of my blemish and redness. Again nothing happens in one night so be patient. But they do work beautifully. Review HERE.
The new Burberry Fresh Glow Foundation Gel Stick Foundation is pure delight for the summer. It is refreshing, super lightweight, never heavy/greasy/suffocating, cooling and it sets to a semi matte finish. It's utterly perfect for summer and I haven't been able to put it down. I'm using shade no 26 or Beige. More to come on this beauty soon. I love the Omorovicza Midnight Radiance Mask for reasons other than it was intended. It's an exfoliating mask but I find as a layer under my night cream it actually helps clear up break outs so well. It does have salicylic acid and as a bonus does add extra hydration as well. Review HERE.
Make p:rem makes some of my all time favorite sunscreens. The UV Defense me blue ray sun fluid is the perfect body sunscreen. It's so fluid and lightweight. It's never sticky or heavy it sinks right in for a semi-matte finish. The whole concept behind the blue ray line is that the sunscreen cools down the skins surface and protects against IR (Infrared waves & radiation). This has been my go to body sunscreen for Ella and I this summer and we've just about polished off this bottle. It's works good on the face as well as it's not heavy or greasy. Review HERE. Clinique makes some great hydrating layers. Their new Dramatically Different Hydrating Jelly not only sounds fun but it's oil free, provides 24 hour moisture & antipollution protection, is refreshing and it has a fun jelly essence like texture. Formulated with Clean Shield Technology™: a moisture barrier blend of sunflower seed cake, barley extract, and cucumber fruit extract to strengthen skin’s barrier, improve its resiliency, and balance and retain skin’s moisture levels; hyaluronic acid acts as a natural moisture magnet/humectant. I've really been liking adding a few pumps after an essence but before serums for an extra light hydration layer. More to come.
Skinbetter Science is quickly becoming a favorite line of mine. They recently launched a new Refresh line and I grabbed the Hydration Boosting Face Cream. This is a lightweight, fragrance free lotion. It's very basic yet effective. It actually contains five ceramides. Most products that say they contain ceramides usually only contain one. There are nine total. Ceramides are lipid molecules that make up 50% of the skins natural barrier. I love that this cream also contains soothing beta-glucan, sodium hyaluronate & niacinamide. It's pretty basic and I do like their InterFuse Treatment Cream better. It's not a bad product I just prefer the other to this one.
The Hermessence line by Hermes is their luxe specialty line. Paprika Brasil is such a unique scent. Paprika Brasil, the devastating power of paprika and brasil wood, softened with iris. This has such a bewitching scent. It's light and fresh with a woody, green, spicy twist. It has this scent unlike anything I’ve ever used. You have to smell it to see how unique it is. Top notes: pimento, clove, paprika. Middle notes: iris, green leaves. Base notes: reseda, ember wood, woody notes. This has a sweet hint to it as well. I talked about it HERE. The packaging is killer as well.
