Current Favorites & Product Obsessions

This last week has been pure mental & physical exhaustion getting everything purchased and mailed out for Christmas. I’m such a procrastinator. Every year I vow to change yet it never happens. Here are a few things I’ve been loving this week. ‘Tis the season for highlighters & I refilled my Kjaer Weis Highlighter in Radiance so I’ve been back to using this beauty. I love their refillable compacts. The first run is pricey but the refills are affordable. Radiance is a nice shimmering cool beige. Review HERE. Lilah B. Divine Duo Lip & Cheek in b. dazzling has become a fast favorite cream highlighter. I love the pigmented rose gold champagne cream. It gives a shinier more reflective finish than Kjaer Weis. Review HERE.

Miller Harris is one of my all time favorite fragrance brands. Feuilles de Tabac is a heavier tobacco woody chypre. Also perfect for winter and holidays. I talked about it HERE. Details per Miller Harris:

Feuilles de Tabac is an inimitable and confident tobacco perfume without comparison. Suggestive of the leaves wrapping a fine cigar and a golden pouch of honeyed tobacco, Feuilles de Tabac opens with a spark of fiery pimento berries and Cuban cascarilla oil – imparting a spectrum of smouldering spice. Sage and pine needles provide timeless cool, whilst tobacco leaves are wrapped in Malaysian patchouli and the cherry-tobacco sweetness of tonka beans. The overall impression is of an exquisite cigar, ready to to be lit.

Top: bergamot Italy, sage France, pine needle Siberia

Heart: cascarilla oil Cuba, pimento berries

Base: patchouli Indonesia, tonka bean, tobacco leaf France

Glow Recipe launched a new sleeping mask. Avocado Melt Sleeping Mask has avocado, honey, clay and PHAs (polyhydroxy acids). It’s creamy, hydrating and will replace a night cream for many people. I find I need a hint of a balm on top to last all night on my skin. PHAs are the newest generation acids and they are gentler while also providing antioxidant protection. Indeed Labs Hyaluron Moisture Jelly is so amazing. I don’t know why I waited so long to grab it. I saw this on Caroline Hirons social media multiple times and it was always on the ‘one day list’. It’s phenomenal. A thin gel like texture that’s silicone free and sinks into the skin with ease. It’s heavier & more hydrating than a serum but lighter than a gel cream. It layers beautifully. This will be a new hero product. Plus it has an airless pump. More to come on both.

Drunk Elephant is about to launch a retinol. Everyone is going nuts. A-Passioni is a cream formula with 1% vegan retinol, powered with superfoods like passion fruit, kale, apricot & winter cherry. It’s not fully out yet (Dec 26th is what I heard) so there’s no full inci list yet. You can mix it or use it alone. I normally hate creamy retinols but this one isn’t heavy and it’s been good so far. Revision DEJ Face Cream has been on my wishlist for a while and thanks to the Harben Black Friday sale I grabbed it. I love the black metal tube with a pump. I expected plastic but it’s so much better. The cream is heavier and suits me for winter days or summer nights. I grabbed it because it has one of my all time favorite ingredients ursolic acid. It’s also got ceramides, cholesterol & peptides. It’s quite nice. More to come on both.

I’m still reaching for my Cle de Peau Cream Blush #4 in Perfect Peach all the time. It’s seriously lasted forever. It may be pricey but I use this all the time and it’s still half full or more. It’s the perfect creamy nude pink peach that really pigmented. It also has a drier yet still creamy texture that lasts quite well through the day. Review HERE. It’s most definitely one of my top favorite blushes.
