Hope your holiday was great. This week I rediscovered a few old favorites and found some new obsessions as well. I forgot how much I loved my Cle de Peau Radiant Fluid Foundation. It's perfect for the cooler weather here as it has a slight oil base. It's hydrating with a really thin texture that gives a satin skin like finish. Review HERE. I wasn't that into the Charlotte Tilbury Pillow Talk lipstick and liner but the Cheek to Chic Pillow Talk blush is fantastic. It's the perfect nude rose with minimal shimmer. I'm totally smitten.
ELEMIS Pro-Collagen Marine Cream was love at first use. It has such a divine light yet hydrating texture. I'm finding it perfect for days right now. It's got algae, ginkgo biloba & chollera. This is a firming and elasticity cream. The texture is really spectacular. It's not heavy at all. I've really been loving the OY-L Crystal Eye Serum. Not only is the roller an amethyst crystal (so cool) but it's really quite hydrating and great for winter. It's got snow mushroom extract (great for hydration), plus abyssinian, cucumber, watermelon, hemp & coffee seed (my favorite) oils.
Ayuna just launched a new powder-in-lotion acid toner treatment called The Facial. The acids are from vinegar, glutamic & succinic acids. The Facial comes in Low and High strengths. It's advised to start with low for two weeks then move to high. Per the FAQ Low is 20% acid concentration and High is 30%. I still have some questions about the powder part and I've reached out to the brand to get a better understanding so I can help all of you understand. It's got probiotics and the typical divine Ayuna scent (they need to make a perfume of this scent seriously). So far I like it and it's definitely different than any acid toner I've used to date so far. I've yet to see anyone not like Ayuna to date so it's definitely a brand to look at.
Miller Harris is a favorite perfumer of mine. The UK niche brand has phenomenal scents. Fleur Oriental is one of my favorite orientals. It replaced Opium for me as it's more well rounded and unique. I love it in the cooler months. It looks like they might have just discontinued it as I can't find it online anywhere and it used to be all over. That or maybe they're revamping it. Shame if they get rid of it because it's an amazing scent. Earthwise Beauty just launched a new facial oil called Black Locust Firming Concentrate. I try a lot of facial oils and not all of them quickly impress me. This one is deeply nourishing without being heavy or greasy. Designed for mature and dry skin needing a firming and elasticity boost. Its got acai, kalahari, white lupine, seabuckthorn, bakuchiol & calendula. I love not only the hydration level but it does firm. If you try a lot of facial oils you know what I mean. Some stand out quickly and some don't. This one was good right to start. More to come.
