This week was all about body care and a few old favorites. I restocked my Zelens Youth Glow Foundation in Beige as my last one was almost empty and it had gotten old. I love this fluid foundation. It gives light to medium coverage with a dewy skin like finish. Plus it has Zelens skincare benefits with beta glucan, uyaku, hyaluronic acid, sesame protein, shiso leaf, silanols, silica, pearl & diamond spheres. I love the luxe slim frosted glass pump as well. Review HERE. I've been misting this week with Maré Skincare Agua de Coco Hydrating Elixir. This has a continuous spray mist that's pretty fine. This has coconut water and fruit extract, aloe, acai, amber extract & lactobacillus (probiotics). It smells like faint natural coconuts which I love.
Siam Seas launched a new product in the February Boxwalla box called Kwam Rak Body Serum. This is an oil meets body lotion. It has the most beautiful light creamy texture. It's very fluid and light like an oil but silky like a lotion. It has aloe, mustard seed oil, sodium pca, ceramides, pomegranate, noni, turmeric, ashwagandha, ginger, green tea and pink lotus to name a few. It has a delicious scent. More to come in the review soon. In short, I need a huge tub of this. You still have time to subscribe and get it. African Botanics Bois de Santal Hand & Body Lotion is every bit as fabulous as I thought it would be. It's easily the most luxurious and utterly amazing body lotion. It's got a light and nourishing silky texture that's not heavy or greasy. It sinks right in delivering the perfect amount of moisture. Plus who can deny the matte black glass packaging it comes in. Serious eye candy. The best part is how light it is yet it keeps skin hydrated all day, no end of the day dryness. In short, If I could afford to use this forever, I would probably ditch my other lotions and I could be happy using solely this one.
I have been wanting to try the Zoeva brushes forever. I got the Rose Golden 104 Buffer Brush recently and it's the most fantastic foundation brush. It's soft yet has enough density to really buff a foundation seamlessly into place. I have been loving the streak free finish it leaves. My favorite of the Zoeva bunch I've been testing. Miller Harris La Fumee Ottoman is the perfect smoky scent for winter. I pull it out every year. It takes the smoky base of La Fumee and puts a Turkish twist on it. This version adds bergamot, cardamom, cumin, cedar wood, patchouli, Turkish rose, incense, vanilla, amber & tonka bean. It's a smoky warm incense kind of scent. It's my favorite of all the La Fumee twists (there are more than one).
It took me a while to get into testing the new sunscreen by Krave as I was finishing an almost expired Dr. Jart+ one. The Beet Shield is a lightweight fluid sunscreen. It's lightweight, leaves no white cast and has antioxidants like beetroot extract, vitamin C, resveratrol & EGCG. I always love a lightweight fluid style sunscreen with no white cast. It's not greasy or heavy but it's not drying either. More to come.
