This week was all about extremely humid weather. I'm sure you all saw the Texas tropical storm and flooding. My family was fine but it was 90% humidity quite a bit which means light makeup. I've been using the Cle de Peau Radiant Stick and Radiant Cushion Foundations all week. I've talked many times about how Cle de Peau makes some of my favorite foundations. Shade O30 is my perfect neutral in the cushion (and liquids) while Ocher is my perfect match in the stick foundation. The Radiant Stick gives light coverage with a cooling water light feel. I love how well it melds with the skin and doesn't budge. It's a fabulous summer and high humidity foundation because it holds up well while being refreshing. The cushion has nice light to medium coverage with a satin finish that also holds up well in this heat & humidity. Review of the cushion HERE & the stick HERE.
I finally caved and grabbed a few Corpus Naturals deodorants. I'm trying the limited edition Neroli scent first. This was in collaboration with True Botanicals. I adore the neroli scent in general so I grabbed two. This has a more tan colored case and it looks like a luxury deodorant (it is). For all natural it's actually pretty good. It's got a soft clear stick that glides on easily with no crumbly or white texture so for anyone who's not shaving their pits this will work for you. I hate ones that are too hard or soft which either tug the skin or leave behind a crumbly residue. This one has been holding up well for me in the summer weather so first impressions are good. More to come. I grabbed a few Chantecaille things last week and I've been wearing the Liquid Lumiere in Sheen all week and it's fabulous. This has a lightweight thin gel texture. The color is a pearly pink champagne. It gives such a natural highlight that's utter perfection. You can mix this in foundation as well for some extra glow. I like how layerable it is. More to come.
I'm still loving Westman Atelier. I've been using Super Loaded Tinted Highlight along the high edge of the cheekbone for a sunkissed look while pairing it with Baby Cheeks Chouchette on the apples for a perfect summer flush. I've already talked about the Westman Atelier line HERE. Chouchette is a new peachy pink nude shade. I love the pigmented, uber creamy satin finish texture. It lasts really well for a cream blush. Farmacy just launched limited edition Very Cherry Clean which is the cherry version of the uber popular Green Clean. Same lightweight rinseable texture, just with a cherry scent. I actually like this one better than the lime sherbet scent of Green Clean. It's a really nice rinseable balm cleanser. One I recommend for anyone looking to get into cleansing balms.
Purito has finally launched the essential oil version of Comfy Water Sun Block. Now it's totally fragrance free. Not only is this sunscreen totally affordable at $15 but it's easily become one of my all time favorite sunscreens ever. It's mineral with no white cast at all. It's not heavy or greasy. I don't know how they made a mineral one with no white cast at all but Purito did it. This mineral Comfy Water version is lighter in texture than the Centella version which has a richer texture. This version is amazing and it's perfect for kids and sensitive skin because it's mineral and fragrance free plus it has a nice texture that doesn't tug on the skin. I've already bought two, one for me one for my daughter. Completely obsessed and this will be one of my Best Of 2019 recs.
