Thought I would start a different format for the weekly favorites photo so I can keep up with it. So I hope you like it. I would rather go flower free and keep this post going weekly. I kind of forget how much I love my Votary Clarifying Cleansing Oil. It's lightweight and never feels heavy. It's the perfect year round cleansing oil. If I only could have one cleansing oil for the rest of my life this would be it. This one is great for problem and combination skin. Review HERE. It's no secret I love OSKIA. They launched a new Liquid Mask which is 10% lactic acid. That's the more gentle and well tolerated AHA (alpha hydroxy acid). It also has multi-tasker and star niacinamide plus B5, black carrot, MSM and prickly pear. It has a nice thin texture and I'm completely obsessed so far. More to come.
I've been wanting to try YÜLI for what feels like forever. A great friend gave me their limited edition rose Halcyon Facial Cleanser. This is a great light, gentle, non-stripping gel cleanser. The rose is really natural and light in scent. None of that fake or perfume rose. I can see myself buying the regular version when this is empty. That says a lot considering I don't like gel cleansers that much. It's the end of summer (or first week of fall for many of you but it's still summer here) so I'm spritzing on Heeley Sel Marin all week for the deep sea scent. It's one of my favorite summer scents. I talked about it HERE.
Makeup has been at a minimum here. All week I've been wearing the Make Up For Ever Ultra HD Perfector Blurring Skin Tint. I wear shade 6 or Warm Sand. This has a light gel like texture which is really unique. Apparently it's no longer on Sephora which is where I got it. I could see why it's not main stream. The coverage is so light. I really like it in the summer because it's so light and not oily at all. Though I have been neglecting it for cushions and the new cushion foundations have just been killing it lately. It's definitely unique though.
I completely adore the Paul & Joe in Onrique. Long discontinued I've been holding onto it for the last summer I'll be able to use it before it's bad. Sadly it was limited edition but it's one of my all time favorite summer blushes. The water light refreshing gel texture is perfect for summer. I love the light peachy pink nude shade for a hint of sun kissed color plus it doesn't budge. They have launched the gel blush in the summer every year but not reproduced this shade that I have seen. Poached Peach in the new range might be close but it seems less pink/nude. I would buy this forever if they made it year round.
By Terry is a brand I have played with in the past but the Ombre Blackstar in Bronze Moon has become an all time cream eye shadow favorite. This stick shadow lasts all day and doesn't crease. I'm completely obsessed with the neutral bronze shimmering shade. I don't think I have ever run though a mini so fast and purchased a large size. I'm so in love with the light refreshing texture of the new Volition Celery Green Cream. It's silicone free so it's easy to layer. The scent and texture are both light and refreshing. This has celery seed extract, hyaluronic acid, peptides, green tea & cucumber. This is perfection for a lightweight summer hydrating layer.
I discovered Alastin skincare last year and I'm still totally intrigued by their products. I got the Restorative Neck Complex one year ago yesterday in NY at the New Beauty Report Live event. I love the super lightweight texture. I find my neck needs less than my face as far as moisture goes so this is perfect. This may be pricey but it's effective. It manages to make my neck lines less apparent and firms the skin. If I had an endless supply I would probably use it forever.
