Current Favorites & Product Obsessions

This week I had a few new things but also but also pulled out an old favorite. I grabbed Kevin Murphy Killer Waves from my hair stylist a few months back. I didn’t use it right away as I was trying to finish something else. This is a salt free texture and wave spray with baobab extract, antioxidants, Australia’s wild rosaella flower for oxidation protection and peptides for strengthening. This adds a nice wave to my hair that holds all day. Be careful she can be sticky if you get too heavy handed. Start light. I love that it doesn’t dry my hair out like salt sprays. I’m really more into these types now than the salt ones. I talked about the hMHC Skincare line in a previous favorites post. Now I’m using the Serum which is the growth factor serum out of the trio I got. I’ve talked about how growth factors are the ultimate glow giver for me. They give me that healthy glow. This one has a good natural scent, no added fragrance and a light texture. It sinks in quickly. This is one of the better growth factor serums I’ve tried. More to come.

I finally caved and grabbed Trudon Coffret Set for my birthday. I’ve been eyeing this for a year. Not that I need any fragrance but something about the brand that used to create for Napoleon was intriguing plus I love their candles. I’m not usually into more feminine scents but Olim is really been my favorite this week from the set. Inspired by the “vanity and emotion of a royal era”. The fragrance opens with spicy notes of Bergamot and Anise and is anchored with Patchouli, Benzoin, Myrrh and Musk. It’s a slightly spicy musk that isn’t to floral which I love. I’m not a white floral gal. Savor Beauty just launched a new mask. The Plump Cherry Collagen Peel has a juicy jiggly jelly texture. It’s slightly cooling on the skin and uses pineapple and papaya enzymes to exfoliate gently while cherry juice provides antioxidants while pea peptides help boost collagen production. I love that this is a quick and gentle mask. 1-3 minutes as sometimes I just don’t want to do a long mask.

I recently pulled out my Tom Ford Inhibition blush and I forgot how much I loved it. It got such a nice finely milled texture and is the perfect dusty nude pink. It’s really pigmented as well. Plus there’s the luxe packaging. Review HERESurratt is one of my all time favorite makeup brands. I love the original foundation and grabbed Dew Drop Foundation which is phenomenal. If you want a dewy satin finish, really lightweight texture and buildable light to medium coverage for a skin like finish then this one is for you. I love dewy, lightweight foundations. It has really good coverage for being so light. The pump is kind of fun too. You unscrew the lid, turn it upside down and depress the rubber stopper which gives you a drop. You need 2-3 drops at most to cover everything. Depends how big your drops are. I grabbed shade 6 which is what I wear in the other but I am curious about 6.5 as well. More to come.

Biologique Recherche is having a big moment in the online communities right now. They’ve been around for a long time but are really shining right now. I finally grabbed Extraits Tissulaires last time I was in New York. Seemed like this was going to be a better fit for my skin than the Serum Placenta. I love the water light texture as it absorbs quickly. This is definitely more hydrating and heavier than Placenta but it’s far from heavy. I use 4-5 drops and pat it into my skin at night right now. It hydrates using cellular oligopeptides. This one is suitable for all skin types and an easy way to hydrate in addition to hyaluronic acid serums. I’ve been trying more SENTÉ skincare this year. I’ve always wanted to try the majority of their line. The Dermal Repair Cream has such a creamy velvety texture. It uses their HSA technology which I just talked about in this post HERE. It has a nice light creamy texture yet it’s very moisturizing. It’s really got a nice soothing feel so great for a simple hydrating cream that’s great for healing times. It’s got camellia, vitamin E, sodium hyaluronate and Heparan Sulfate Analog. While I loved the texture if I had to choose between this and the Pressed Serum I would pick the Pressed Serum.
