Current Favorites & Product Obsessions

The weather has been fluctuating a lot this week here so one day I feel like summer and one day I feel like fall. I’ve been trying to finish up a few of my summer staples, pulled out some new things and reaching for a few old favorites. Sisley Double Tenseur was a hesitant purchase at first for me due to the price but it ended up becoming one of my favorite primers ever. It’s got a gel texture so it’s perfect for summer. It’s silicone free, made from plant extracts and manages to lift and tighten the skin. It really does help lift and firm making it a great primer. I get more compliments wearing this primer than anything else. I will repurchase. I just pulled out my Sisley Confort Extreme Mains hand cream. This is lightly scented and has a luxurious creamy medium weight texture. I love the weight of it for winter yet it’s not too heavy or greasy to wear in the day. It just leaves my hands nourished and hydrated. Looks like it’s been discontinued sadly. But they have another new hand cream I need to try. Their hand creams are really killer if you’re looking for something from Sisley to try.

I always forget to feature the Zoeva 142 Concealer Buffer Brush in these posts. This is a synthetic round duo-fibre brush. I love how well it works. It really buffs well yet doesn’t take away all the product. Plus it’s super affordable. It’s easily the best concealer brush I’ve used to date. I like the round shape more than a flat brush for some reason. I don’t know why I haven’t been using this Ground Plan Cell Power Energy Essence a lot. Big mistake it’s fabulous. I’m totally obsessed these last few weeks with it. It’s got a slippery light bouncy texture. I love the pump and the overall aesthetic. It’s got oat extract, edelweiss, sodium hyaluronate, niacinamide and plant stem cell extracts. It’s so light and such a nice extra hydrating layer. I adore Cle de Peau foundations and I’m sure you’re sick of seeing me talk about them but I cannot. I’m trying to use up the last of my Radiant Cushion Foundation before entering the colder weather. I adore this dewy satin finish foundation. It’s got light to medium coverage and lasts all day. It never looks heavy, only like skin. It’s perfection. Review HERE.

Then I met You Soothing Tea Cleansing Gel has been living in my shower for the last few weeks. If you saw my Instagram post this week you’ll see what a unique jelly texture it has. This is a low foaming, low pH, gentle jelly cleanser.  It’s got green tea, licorice, PHAs and sake extract (rice ferment). It’s got a light scent (think green and earthy meets citrus). I’m liking it in the morning with my Foreo Luna Mini in the shower. It’s gentle and non-drying. I’ve also been living for the new Holi Frog Superior Omega Nutritive Gel Wash. This is a gentle, low pH gel cleanser as well. The brand is new and only sells cleansers. All are fragrance free and have a great inci list. All four are actually really good but this gel one is perfection in the morning shower as well. It’s got probiotics, kombucha, grape, camellia & broccoli seed oils, coconut fruit extract, aloe & apple cider vinegar. It’s non-drying and I love the cool packaging.

Josh Rosebrook just launched a new product. I’ve been waiting a year for it. The Hydration Boost Concentrate is amazing as I knew it would be. This is a liquid antioxidant, anti-inflammatory & hydrating serum. It’s got botanical hyaluronic acid, glycerin, aloe, white peony, horse chestnut, arnica, hibiscus, green tea, calendula & cacao. I love the .5 oz size versus a larger one. It allows me to use it before it goes bad. The texture is great and it’s a nice serum that was worth the wait. With the slightly cooler weather I pulled out Ormonde Jayne One this week. This is a Selfridges exclusive scent. It’s feminine and floral enough but also warm & grounded. I’m not into powdery white florals. Ormonde Jayne has really good scents. They’re complex and unique. If you like quality niche scents I would look at the brand.
