Current Favorites & Product Obsessions

I’m definitely feeling full on fall vibes this week so I’ve been all about my fall scents and heavier products. I’ve really been loving the Then I Met You Living Cleansing Balm. It has a gorgeous mango color and soft sorbet texture. This is an oil based balm cleanser perfect for removing makeup at night. It emulsifies and rinses clean plus it has a light uplifting scent that I really enjoy. I love this doesn’t leave me feeling greasy like some other cleansing balms can. It’s just got a beautiful texture, color and light scent. Once you try it, you know. There’s a reason it’s so popular. I haven’t been pulling out my Allies of Skin Bright Future Sleeping Facial for a while and I regret it. I usually try to use this for three nights in a row once a month. This is an instant overnight brightening facial with glycolic and lactic acids. It’s got a gel texture and works best when used three nights in a row. This got reformulated from the version I reviewed HERE and now it layers beautifully with any routine. If you want an instant brightening facial this is it. It’s well worth the price tag. This is tube number two for me and I will continue to repurchase it.

My favorite fall scent of the week is Miller Harris L’Air de Rien which is such a unique scent. It was made by Jane Birkin and is supposed to be about dusty liabraries and old books. It’s more rounded than that, it’s warm, light enough, has a bit of citrus, vanilla, musk. It’s one of my favorites by Miller Harris. The notes are: neroli Tunisia, oak moss, patchouli Indonesia, vanilla bourbon, amber, musk. I love it because it’s light enough to not be overpowering, feminine enough yet has a dirty quality which I have found I love in fragrances. That ‘dirty or human quality’ makes me feel like it’s a you but better scent. Make P:rem Chaga Concentrate Essence is one of the brands newest launches. I love this K Beauty brand sunscreens. Some of their skincare is hit or miss but this is one of their better skincare launches. Besides the water and propanediol listed on the inci list this is only chaga mushroom extract. Changa mushrooms have natural beta glucan (soothing and hydrating), anti-oxidant and anti-inflammatory properties. This has a fluid, liquid texture and no real scent to speak of. It does have a fairly moisturizing feel even for a liquid. It feels like a heavy toner or really light essence. I like it for soothing and calming which is why I’ve been using it at night on the cooler days.

I recently posted about Christophe Robin on Instagram and I find myself reaching for the last few weeks. The Cleansing Purifying Scrub is a salt based weekly treatment to soothe, calm, balance and detox the scalp. It’s very deep cleansing and soothes helping with itching and flaking. This works like a shampoo so you don’t use it in addition to shampoo. Don’t confuse the sodium laureth sulfate (SLES) in this for sodium lauryl sulfate (SLS). Different ingredients and SLES in considered safe with all data currently. The Detangling Geleé is ideal after the scrub. It has sea minerals and a slippery light gel texture. You leave it on for a few minutes after rinsing out the scrub. Then rinse and use conditioner if you need it. I find this very glossing, hydrating and it adds a smooth, sleek feel and shine. I only need a light conditioner after using this. They make a great team when used together and I see myself buying them many times over.

I love Westman Atelier. I’ve been loving that line for a year plus now. Especially the Baby Cheeks cream blush. Chouchette is the newest shade they launched which is a peachy pink nude. It’s a creamy, pigmented shade in a chic package. I love their luxe packaging and it has a magnetic closure. The formula has a satin matte finish that lasts really quite well. Though it’s expensive the product is really divine. If you like a nude pinky peach blush (these are the shades I live in) and cream blush it’s a really nice texture to try. Review of the line HERE. ANESSA Perfect UV Sunscreen Mild Milk is a fragrance and alcohol free sunscreen from the popular ANESSA line by Shiseido. This version has a really silky texture and it makes a great primer. I like it when it’s not extremely hot and humid so I skip it in the full blown summer months. Review HERE.
