As always this week features some oldies and newbies. It was a little cooler at night this week so I found myself reaching for my Earthwise Beauty Yasuni Face Balm. I love this lightweight balm. It has several butters, cranberry, raspberry, green coffee & marula oils. I absolutely adore green coffee oil and this balm is such a dream. If you want a lightweight balm that doesn’t feel heavy or greasy this is for you. Review HERE. For the last few weeks I’ve been reaching for an oil meets lotion body combo. I love mixing an oil with a lotion for a long lasting combo. Fresh Sugar Lemon Body Lotion has such a nice light yet nourishing texture and the light lemon scent with the orange scent of the Votary Hydrating Body Oil makes for a really luxurious citrus combination. I talked about Votary HERE.

Allies of Skin launched a new gel cleanser. The Molecular Silk Amino Hydrating Cleanser is a low pH, non-drying or stripping gel cleanser. This thick pink gel has antioxidants, phospholipids, amino acids & oils. This makes a great morning or second cleanse. It’s quickly become a new favorite gel cleanser. More to come. Ormonde Jayne has been one of my favorite perfume houses for a while. Cuir Imperial is a heavier leather scent perfect for fall and winter. It’s a Harrods exclusive with notes of: Top-Cognac, clary sage, bergamot, cardamom, pink pepper. Middle-Leather, suede, orris, saffron, rose absolute, freesia. Base-Tonka, sandalwood, patchouli, cedar, vetiver, incense. While it is a deeper, heavier leather it has a warm, spicy edge which keeps it from being too dry. I get compliments every time I wear this.

This week I’ve been using a combination of the Estee Lauder x Victoria Beckham Morning Aura Illuminating Cream as a glimmering primer with the creamy Westman Atelier Vital Skin Foundation Stick. The primer has a light hydrating gel cream texture with a creamy pearl sheen. I like how it sets down a touch so it’s not too dewy or hydrating. It makes a nice glowy base without being heavy. It was limited edition but I’m wondering if the new Augustinus Bader x Victoria Beckham version is similar. Review HERE. The Westman Atelier foundation is my favorite dewy stick foundation. It has such a nice dewy skin like finish and is perfect for cooler months (or drier skin). I’m happy to pull it out again and put it to good use now that summer is over. Review HERE.

I skipped the Lisa Eldridge lipstick launch last year as it was all reds and darker colors. She launched some new colors recently and I grabbed a few. The first True Velvet Lipstick I picked up was Velvet Fawn a 90s nude. I wasn’t sure what to expect with this. I thought it might end up being too dry of a matte. It pleasantly surprised me. The formula is creamy, matte and actually completely non-drying. Quite the feat to accomplish. I have a red I want to dive into now. Velvet Fawn is a bit darker than I expected even thought it’s the lightest shade in the range. This has enough pink to it to not be too brown or cool which is what I need.
