Current Favorites & Product Obsessions

I can’t believe Christmas is almost here and that yet another year and even decade has gone by. I also can’t believe I’ve never tried the Bioderma Atoderm Ultra-nourishing Anti-irritation Shower Oil. I’ve heard it’s amazing but just never tried it. I ended up buying two for Black Friday without realizing how big they are, then I received one from the brand too. I’ll be swimming in it next year but that’s OK. This is an oil that foams a hint in the shower. It’s got a light fresh fragrance nothing heavy. This shower oil has vitamins C & E, antioxidants and niacinamide. It’s great as a body wash for a non-drying and moisturizing clean or use it to shave your legs (my current favorite use for it).

It’s funny that out of all the Dr Barbara Sturm products I really like the Balancing Toner as one of my favorites. The light and refreshing toner has hyaluronic acid, beta-glucan, purslane bioferment & Xylitylglucoside (two plant sugars, moisturizing, limits water loss). Its fragrance free and has a pump top which I love. You all know how much I love YOU Skincare. I don’t talk about Tranquil Face Oil enough. The facial oil is really lightweight and has no essential oils. It has squalane, prickly pear, pomegranate, cucumber, sacha inchi, perilla, black cumin, chia & rosehip oils. It smells deliciously like cucumbers. I love the lightweight texture and it’s one of my favorite lightweight oils ever. Review HERE.

I love a Hermès scent. Eau d’Hermès is about as classic as they come. The cologne is a light leather with a spicy citrus edge. Sadly it’s been discontinued but you can still find it a few places. It features top notes of bergamot, cardamom, cinnamon, lavender, and clover. The middle notes are tonka bean, vanilla, jasmine, and Bourbon geranium while the base notes consist of leather, birch, sandalwood, and cedar. It’s a nice skin scent. Kat Burki Vitamin C Nourishing Cleansing Balm is a lightweight and refreshing balm cleanser. It has a thick gel textured base and really pleasant refreshing cucumber like scent. It’s oil based and while it feels light in texture it removes makeup with ease and needs a cloth to fully remove it. I follow it with a double cleanse. This is my second jar, review HERE. The light gel texture and scent is what makes this one for me.

I’m a huge cream blush lover. I didn’t realize the Cle de Peau Cream Blush in Perfect Peach would become one of my all time favorite blushes when I bought it. It’s become one of my most reached for blushes. It has the perfect thicker creamy texture. It isn’t too dry nor is it too emollient or oily so it stays put all day. The pigmentation and longevity are really great. The color is a peachy nude pink. If you like that kind of natural flush shade you’ll love this one. Tiny expensive pot but it lasts really well and the formula is killer. Easily this is one of the best cream blush formulas out there. Review HERE. I apply this with my favorite cream blush brush the J 210 by Hakuhodo. This round goat hair brush is the best I’ve found for applying cream blush. It works great on liquids and powders as well. It blends so well and the hair really stands up to the needed abuse from blending cream blushes, even thick formulas. I’ve had mine for years and it’s still fully functional. It gives a soft application yet it picks up enough product to not need multiple applications. Overall it’s a fabulous brush with the superb Japanese craftsmanship. Review HERE.

The Sisley Velvet Sleeping Mask is my newest luxury splurge. I use this seeping mask as a night cream. This sleeping mask helps support skins nocturnal restoration. It has saffron, thyme honey, shea & kokum butters, macadamia & cottonseed oils, Japanese Lilyturf and Padina pavonica extracts. It’s meant to be a soothing and comforting overnight mask. This has a thicker more satin cream texture than Black Rose. Black Rose is a glossy and richer, this one is a bit more velvety and lighter yet it’s thicker and heavier in texture. I like both. One is glossy and more anti-aging (Black Rose), one is more soothing and velvety in texture (this one).
