Current Favorites & Product Obsessions

Once again I have another weekend with cloudy non-sunshine filled days which makes for worse photos. I focused on my skincare favorites for this weeks post. I'll start with the La Mer The Soft Fluid Long Wear Foundation. I've been reaching for this one all week. I forgot how much I loved the long wearing medium coverage formula. It manages to be long wearing while remaining non-drying. It has skincare benefits which is something I have been liking in my foundations lately. I wear shade Beige and full review HERE.

I felt like I needed to include the new Drunk Elephant Protini Polypeptide Cream. I used this for about six weeks daily and saw nice results at the end. I just stopped using it to see what happens when I quit for a few weeks. My skin felt stronger and healthier while using this. The was a big increase in the elasticity of my skin. Full review HERE.

Georgette Klinger is a new brand for me. I was sent the Coconut Cleansing Milk to play with and it was love at first use. This is a creamy gel cleanser perfect for mornings or second cleanse. It feels hydrating, soothing and simple. I adore the light natural coconut scent. I will go more in depth into this brand later.

I have loved Fresh Beauty for a long time. They make multiple products I use as staples or hero products. This new Black Tea Kombucha Facial Treatment Essence was also love at first use. I can't stop using it as it's that good. This is thin but slightly slippery and hydrating. Kombucha is fermented black tea. I love anything fermented as it makes it stronger and easier to absorb into the skin. Black tea is great for antioxidant and they claim anti-pollution protection. The texture alone has me sold. I can see us being long term friends.

I grabbed this COSRX Advanced Snail 96 Mucin Power Essence a few months back but finally cracked it open. This was one of those where have you been all my life kind of products. It's so hydrating, this is a thicker textured slippery essence. Almost serum like. This has 96% snail mucin which is very repairative to the skin once you get past the whole snail idea. It's soothing, hydrating and regenerative. And yes the snail mucin is purified so no worries.

Glow Recipe just launched a moisturizer version of their best selling (and one of my favorites) Watermelon Sleeping Mask. The Pink Juice Moisturizer feels very similar to the mask except thinner. It's comprised of 90% watermelon extract, hyaluronic acid as well as peony and jasmine extracts. It's simple. This feels more like a thicker hydrating serum than a moisturizer and I'm using it as such. I find it hydrating and it smells like watermelon Jolly Ranchers. I'm going to use this daily for a while so stay tuned for a full post.

I had been wanting to try Votary London forever and finally splurged before Christmas. I was so impressed I made a second haul. Votary just released a new Super Seed Nutrient Cream which is their first cream launched in the line. I was ecstatic they sent one to me to play with. This is just divine. It was another love as first use product. It's super hydrating and nourishing yet hasn't been too heavy or clogged my pores at all. More to come.

YOU Skincare is a favorite discovery of mine last year. I finally caved and grabbed the Barrier Repair Cleansing Balm. I'm so glad I did as it's amazing. This is that melty balm cleanser I was looking for. It's not a hard balm like the rest, it has a slightly softer texture. It contains some of my favorite oils: rice, papaya, watermelon & baobab. It works, I love the texture and it never strips the skin. I'm officially obsessed. More to come.
