Current Favorites & Product Obsessions

Summer is full on here in South Texas. This is most definitely my least favorite time of year here. The heat and humidity is just intense. I am loving the Seed Phytonutrients Body Moisturizer. It has a light gel cream texture that's not heavy, sticky or greasy. Perfect for this time of year. It's just enough. The scent is light and I love the nourishing feel yet it's super lightweight. Plus it has cool biodegradable packaging. All week I've been obsessed with the Omorovicza Peachy Micellar Cleansers. I'm using them to remove eye makeup or even as a first cleanse on occasion. I love the light peachy scent and gentle nature of the pads. They use natural olive oil esters for micellar technology which is more gentle than a surfactant. I find them extremely gentle and great for removing eye makeup. Review HERE.

Lately I have been reaching for my Gisou Honey Infused Hair Oil a lot. I love the thicker texture yet it feels light in the hair. I love the honey scent as it feels warm and inviting. It's pricey but I really love it. Plus it seems to be lasting a while so it seems worth it. I think Rodeo by Byredo is the best scent I have ever purchased from them. It’s a lighter more feminine leather. I’m a huge leather fan. If you like leather but want a slightly lighter less dry twist on it, this one is for you. It was very limited. Top: Leather Accord, Heart: Suede, Midnight Violet, Base: Vetiver, Black Amber. I wasn't sure if I would like the new Hourglass Veil Eye Primer. I've been loyal to my Urban Decay Enigma for several tubes but it's been discontinued. I love the thicker Hourglass texture. It's not as wet as some primers can be. It does a great job as an eyeshadow primer without being too wet, greasy or grippy. It has a sheer nude base but don't expect much as far as brightening or evening the skintone. It's definitely been one of the better ones I've snapped up lately.

Westman Atelier launched some new cream/powder eyeshadow hybrid pots. Their Eye Pods come in sets of three. Les Jours is a bronze, chocolate, ivory set. It seems to be sold out everywhere but I'm sure it will come back. I love the chocolate shade the most. They are all these tiny magnetic pots that are so cute. They stick together in a drawer due to the magnetic capabilities. I'm not a fan of the stark white, I'd rather have vanilla. They have a very dry harder cream eye shadow texture, much like the Chanel Ombre Premieres. They last quite well, not as long as Chanel but pretty long even in humidity. They do crease on occasion by the end of the day but it's pretty minimal for most cream shadows. I need my Sonia G Builder Two in order to apply these. The pot is so tiny and it's hard to fit a finger in. The Sonnia G is my go to for harder cream eyeshadows. It's tough and stiff enough to take on a harder texture cream shadow. It's my favorite for this type of texture. All week long I've been grabbing my YSL Touche Eclat Shimmer Stick Highlighter in N3 Rose Gold. Such a great highlighting stick if you like rosy champagne shades. It's drier so it's not greasy or wet or glossy yet it's soft and buildable. Great on the brow bone and cheeks as well.
