Drunk Elephant Lippie Review

I love lip balm. I use a ton of it. I love testing new lip balms. Drunk Elephant came onto my radar last year with their serums and I love their 'less is more' yet not only natural ingredients philosophy. There are many great synthetic ingredients that aren't toxic and are really great for skin. I love using a combination of natural and synthetic ingredients in skincare. Peptides is one example of a synthetic, yet great & beneficial skincare ingredient.

Lippie is a new product for Drunk Elephant it just came out. Per Drunk Elephant's website: "An anti-aging and protective treatment balm that moisturizes, volumizes, nourishes and rejuvenates the lips for a noticeably more youthful pout. This clean formulation is spiked with an exotic blend of Avocado, Mongongo, Cranberry and Marula Oils to deeply moisturize, replenish, hydrate and protect super delicate lips. A rare combination of peptides and sea fern algae hydrates the lips and helps to restore collagen, increasing lip moisture and adding volume to give better definition to the lip-line. Lippe™ protects against free radical damage, while aiding in the prevention of collagen breakdown and helping to repair the effects of UV exposure by way of Green Tea Leaf and Vitamin C. This buttery, luxurious balm truly softens and plumps rough, parched lips, keeping them in lip-top condition." The retail is $22 for a 3.7g tube.

The tube is fat and wide. It has almost a slightly sweet taste. I think it's mostly from the coconut oil, I have a similar tasting lip balm(Yes to Coconuts) that has a lot of coconut oil in it as well. It's moisturizing and a well done lip balm. I have nothing bad to say about the product itself, it's great. It's not too oily nor too waxy, not too thick nor too thin.

I do hate the wide package as it's too wide for my lips. I'm only able to use half of it at once unless I was to swipe it on both lips at the same time. I don't like the eos balms for the same reason. It feels like I'm getting lip balm all outside of my lips with the wide base packaging.

It doesn't last all night, but it's more moisturizing than Fresh Sugar lip balms and even my current favorite Hurraw! balms. So this is great for winter and I do love the minimal taste. If you're a lip balm junkie this one is worth checking out.
