I honestly don't remember how I originally came across Earthwise Beauty other than Instagram. My grandmother is a Kinesiologist and I grew up very naturopathic so I've always been into plant extracts. I've been using this brand for about five years now and I thought I would highlight some of my favorites especially with Black Friday around the corner. Earthwise Beauty will be doing a sale for 25% off all product with no minimum November 23-27 using the code BlackFriday2022. Earthwise Beauty hand crafts their products in small batches, if you like artisan quality style brands then you'll like it. I love the black glass with the minimal label packaging, always my favorite chic style. They also sell minis which I love, not every brand does that. I originally got into them by buying minis then falling in love with the formulas.
Yasuni Face Balm is one of my top 3 favorite balms ever. One of the reasons I love this balm is because anyone can use it. It's one of the most lightweight balms I've come across. It looks hard but if you scrape out a little it warms up in your hands instantly. It works for oiler and dry types, it's not really think or heavy. It's thinner than any balm I've tried to date. You can use a little, or use a lot. This balm also doesn't have essential oils so it's suitable for my rosacea skin and all skin types including sensitive. It combines kokum, cupuacu and bacuri butters with lightly enzymatic and antioxidant rich fruit oils (acai, buriti, raspberry and cranberry) plus green coffee and marula oils. I love green coffee oil is a powerful antioxidant and the scent just gets me. This balm has a light fruity oil meets earthy green coffee scent. I've layered this as a last step or as a step under an occlusive in the winter. It melts down into a thicker oil versus a traditional balm. It's like the balm for people who don't think they like balms. It's also the balm for any balm aficionado because it's different.
Tigress Face Balm is a softer balm that's designed for acne prone skin. The soft texture allows you to use a little or a lot of it. It's my second favorite balm they make. It's got ucuuba and kokum butters, sapote, babassu, tamanu, rosehip, green coffee, spikenard, pinyon pine and frankincense oils with usnea lichen extract. The scent is earthy and warm. The soft texture is to die for. While Yasuni will always have my heart and is my most used, I wanted to include this one for anyone with problem skin looking for a face balm. I loved this one quite a bit back in my hormonal acne days before I became more sensitive and dry.
Passion Eye Serum has become the only eye oil I keep in my skincare arsenal. I used to have others but this one became my number one. It's essential oil free which is a must for me in the sensitive eye area. It has amaranth, green coffee, andiroba, sea buckthorn, rosehip, tamanu, passionfruit and brazil nut oils with murumuru butter. The butter adds a hint of longevity to the eye oil but it's not too heavy. It's still lightweight and doesn't travel or cloud my eyes. Coffee oil is a must for me in an eye serum for the antioxidant rich and anti-ageing benefits. Ultimately it has a nice silky texture. I apply it over an eye cream at night. I gave up on eye balms and just stuck with this product which works for me.
On A Swing Among Trees Serum Mist is a newer product they're launched. This was love at first use. The mist has a watery hydrating milky emulsion texture. You could even use it as an essence as well. This mist is targeted towards wrinkles, firmness and barrier repair. I love how it's hydrating but it doesn't feel heavy or oily. It just feels like it has long lasting hydration. It's got a plant ceramide complex, hyaluronic acid, frankincense, copaiba and myrrh resins, chamomile and saffron in a base of turmeric hydrosol and aloe. This is so yummy. I've been through a couple. It's a product where sensorial experience meets luxury. The scent is herbal but not too strong. It's always been fine for my skin even with it's sensitivities.
You can see the milky yet fluid texture. It can be misted or pumped out.
Rosa Whole-Fruit Rosehip Oil is my favorite facial oil they make. Lately I'm into essential free oils the most. While I'm not hugely into single blend oils, this one is really quite nice. I've said for years that oils have a wide variety of quality depending on the sourcing and processing. That makes a huge difference in the end product. Rosehip by one will not be equal to rosehip from another. Earthwise Beauty uses the whole fruit and cold presses it for optimal quality. Once you see the color you know. I like rosehip for it's high antioxidant properties. It's high in carotenoids like beta-carotene and lycopene. The texture is light and not heavy. Anyone can use this oil. The scent is slightly fruity.
You can see the bright orange color it has.
Ambrosia do Cerrado Liquid Moisturizer is the last one I picked about to discuss. It's a unique product. Think emulsion with oils and hydrators but ultra light serum style. This is a great layering product. It's nourishing yet light and never heavy feeling. If you don't like facial oils this is a great way to incorporate lipids. This has antioxidant rich oils like pequi fruit, buriti and moringa oils mixed with elderberry extract and aloe. It's simple and it works. This has no essential oils so it's great for sensitive skin. The scent is lightly fruity. It's a great morning layer to add into your routine.
The color is a bright marigold yellow and the texture is light.
For me Yasuni and Passion Eye Serum are my most used followed by On A Swing Among Trees, Ambrosia and Rosa. Enough about skincare did you know Earthwise Beauty makes teas as well? They're great quality as well. No surprise there.
My all time favorite is the Revered Berries Tea with elderberries, schisandra berries, goji berries and rosehips. I love berry tea when I'm sick and this one is amazing. I don't need sweetener at all. The Chamomile Tea is another favorite. Nothing like a little soothing tea before bed. I lightly steep it with no sweetener as well. You can see the whole flowers in the tea. The Hibiscus Tea is a new one for me they sent over. It's really flavorful. Fruity and a little sour. It's better iced. You can sip it over ice with no sweetener. It's very antioxidant rich. Nettle Tea is also new for me. It's a whole leaf tea with an herbal flavor. I add a hint of agave nectar to it. It's supposed to be good for chronic joint pain. Their Mountain Black Tea is great. It's a nice alternative to coffee. I steep it well and add a cinnamon stick (you can reuse multiple times) then add a splash of milk. It's great. They get their black tea from Jingmai Mountain in Yunnan, China. I think teas make great holiday gifts and these ones are exquisite. Their tea is so beautiful to look at texturally, anyone would love them.
*I have bought product multiple times in the past from the brand. I've also been gifted things as an affiliate. This is a paid sponsored post but all thoughts remain my own as always. If you search through my site you'll see these are the items I talk about all the time from the brand as they're my favorites.
