This serum comes packaged in an airless pump which I love. Very Cherry Bright has a light hydrating serum texture and it smells lightly like cherries. I was drooling, seriously. The scent is light nothing artificial or too sweet. This has three vitamin C derivatives (3-Glyceryl Ascorbate, 3-O-Ethyl Ascorbic Acid, Ascorbyl Tetraisopalmitate) along with natural vitamin C in the form of cherries (bitter cherry fruit water, acerola fruit extract). Vitamin C is great at brightening, fighting free radicals plus helping stimulate collagen production. This serum also has four forms of hyaluronic acid including hydrolyzed sodium hyaluronate. I love the hydrolyzed versions as they are smaller and tend to have a nicer less sticky texture on the skin. They penetrate better as well. Vitamin C derivatives are great for sensitive skin as they’re not as harsh as ascorbic acid. Less sensitivity reactions occur (if any at all).
Very Cherry Bright also has soothers like calendula & allantoin, plus botanicals like sacha inchi, Indian Gooseberry, sweet almond, rice bran, sunflower, rosemary & vanilla fruit. Sacha Inchi is high in antioxidants (vitamin A & E) and it helps with elasticity and firmness. I loved this lightweight texture of this serum, it’s hydrating without being sticky. It does brighten to some degree but the derivatives never work quite as well for me as true ascorbic acid. The benefit to this one is that it has absolutely no irritation or sensitivity (for me anyway) whatsoever. This is going to suit a wide variety if people. It will brighten and it helps firm the skin by stimulating collagen production. So it’s kind of like an antioxidant, hydrating and firming serum all in one. I think this is my favorite product Farmacy has launched to date. Farmacy just launched a limited edition cherry cleansing balm which looks like a delicious accompaniment to this serum. I bought mine yesterday.
