Fresh Beauty Vitamin Nectar Glow Juice Antioxidant Face Serum & Glow Moisturizer

Vitamin Nectar is one of the newest Fresh lines in the brand. It started with the mask and has expanded into five products. Inspired by how nutrition affects our health this is a vibrancy inducing range.

“I am inspired―okay, obsessed―by how nutrition affects our skin’s health. After years of research, we have bridged the world of vitamins into skincare or, as we call it, skin nutrition. Developed through the intense study of how vitamins and minerals can energize and boost the vibrancy of the skin—no matter the skin type—Vitamin Nectar delivers essential nutrition for a healthy-looking complexion.”

―Lev Glazman, fresh co-founder

I’ve talked about the mask, powder and mist HERE & HERE. I have yet to really talk about the luscious cream or newly launched serum. The Glow Juice Antioxidant Face Serum was inspired by fresh pressed juice. The whole idea is really pretty neat. Details per Fresh:

Inspired by cold-press juice, this serum sets skin up for success. Microbubbles containing vitamins C and E, beta-carotene, and coconut oil blend with the watery base of fruit extracts and minerals, leaving skin energized and smooth with 24-hour hydration and antioxidant protection. Non-comedogenic.

Benefits

  • fresh’s vitamin fruit complex is a blend of vitamins C, E, and B5; lemon and orange fruit extracts; and minerals that helps revitalize dull skin for a vibrant, healthy-looking complexion.
  • Jicama root juice, obtained by cold-pressing jicama tubers, helps to hydrate and revitalize skin.
  • Chicory root juice has a vitamin D-like effect to help moisturize and protect.
  • Ginger water helps to hydrate.
  • Beta-carotene is a precursor to vitamin A, a powerful antioxidant that helps ward off damaging free radicals.
  • Coconut oil, with its nutrient-rich composition, has a strong affinity for the skin to help to nourish and soften.

Ingredients

Aqua (Water), Isononyl Isononanoate, Glycerin, Pentylene Glycol, Propanediol, Cocos Nucifera (Coconut) Oil, Zingiber Officinale (Ginger) Water, Polymnia Sonchifolia Root Juice, Cichorium Intybus (Chicory) Root Extract, Vaccinium Myrtillus Fruit Extract, Helianthus Annuus (Sunflower) Seed Oil, Saccharum Officinarum (Sugar Cane) Extract, Citrus Aurantium Dulcis (Orange) Fruit Extract, Citrus Limon (Lemon) Fruit Extract, Acer Saccharum (Sugar Maple) Extract, Tocopheryl Acetate, Ascorbyl Tetraisopalmitate, Tocopherol, Carbomer, Parfum (Fragrance), Sodium Hydroxide, Disodium EDTA, Alcaligenes Polysaccharides, Amodimethicone, Panthenol, Magnesium Aspartate, Zinc Gluconate, Ethylhexylglycerin, Beta-Carotene, Copper Gluconate, Chlorphenesin, Potassium Sorbate, Phenoxyethanol, Limonene, Linalool, Citral, Benzyl Salicylate.

I will admit I totally didn’t believe the 480,0000 microbubble thing at first. But you can actually really see all the little suspended “bubbles”. I was also extremely scared over the coconut oil in the product. If you followed me for some time you’ll know coconut oil is like my one and only skincare ingredient nemesis. I used this every day for a few weeks and had no issues with breakouts, so this form of coconut oil was OK for me. This serum has most gorgeous citrus scent. Overall it has a medium hydrating texture. It layers well and doesn’t pill with anything. This serum is an emulsion in some aspects merging water based and oil based ingredients. So it’s going to be more hydrating from the oils.

This has orange & lemon fruit extract for a natural vitamin C and AHAs (alpha hydroxy acids), two vitamin C derivatives for collagen building and brightening, vitamin E & beta carotene (antioxidants), coconut & sunflower oils with glycerin to hydrate & nourish plus ginger water, chicory & jicama root juice. The serum is fun, unique and I adore the packaging with the silver bottle cap style top. Vitamin C derivatives don’t tend to work as well for me as ascorbic acid 15%+ in the brightening aspect but it does help build collagen and brighten to some degree. Vitamin C derivatives are great for those with more sensitive skin who can’t tolerate the harsher side effects of ascorbic acid. I liked this as a nice nourishing, hydrating & collagen/antioxidant boosting serum. It is very much is like that extra vitamin boost for your skin like when you decide to go get a smoothie to pep your nutrition up.

The Vitamin C Glow Moisturizer came out a few years back. This cream seriously has the juiciest, most lush, glossy, luscious texture. It’s a medium weight cream that smells like fresh oranges. Details per Fresh:

This multivitamin moisturizer recharges skin and minimizes signs of tiredness for a healthy look. The fast-absorbing, weightless cream with an uplifting citrus scent smoothes and combats dullness with fresh’s vitamin fruit complex of vitamins C, E, and B5; lemon and orange extracts; and minerals.

Benefits

  • fresh’s vitamin fruit complex is a blend of vitamins C, E, and B5; lemon and orange fruit extracts; and minerals that helps revitalize dull skin for a vibrant, healthy-looking glow and soft, smooth texture.
  • Glucosyl hesperidin, a naturally derived flavonoid found in citrus fruits, helps combat tired skin.

This cream has vitamin C derivatives and natural vitamin C from the orange & lemon fruit extract just like the serum. Vitamin C Glow Moisturizer has such a fresh feeling on the skin. It’s a total pick me up. It feels energizing on the skin. That really feels like the best way to describe it. The texture is completely divine. I can’t say it any better than glossy, luscious medium weight texture. It you want a cream more hydrating that the Lotus cream this is the one to go for. It’s heavier than Lotus but lighter than Black Tea. It’s an energizing pick me up kind of moisturizer. Once you stick your finger in the pot you’ll understand as the texture is completely and utterly divine.
