For Spring/Summer Hermès launched Rose Hermès Silky Blush Powder and Rose Hermès Rosy Lip Enhancer. The products are refillable. They are luxurious. They have a hefty price tag. They are iconic. I grabbed one of each just to try them. The blush has a super lightweight silky powder texture. It’s buildable and isn’t powdery. I love the light and silky texture, it’s really finely milled. I’ve heard everyone mention it has a strong scent but honestly I don’t get the strong scent unless I smell it really closely. It does have a perfume scent don’t get me wrong, it’s not anywhere as strong as say Chanel blush. I can’t use Chanel blush due to the strong scent and the Hermès is fine. So texture is really beautiful on this blush. The packaging was a little disappointing honestly. I was expecting the metal, heavy weight luxury feel packaging like the lipsticks and instead got a plastic, cheap feeling, lightweight shell. For a refillable product that costs $77 I expected more. It’s nice, but I see mine breaking if I planned on keeping it for a decade and refilling it.
The lip tint has the same luxury metal case as the lipsticks and it’s refillable. I love the luxury feel of the lipstick cases and they are metal, not plastic. Yes it’s pricey but it’s a luxury, not a necessity. The tint has a satin matte feel to it. The tint is sheer but it adds a nice flush if you have less pigmented lips. Makes me look like I have pigmented lips. If you are of darker skin tone or already have really pigmented lips, this will probably be clear on you, or close to it. I’d love to see a shimmering shade come out as that works on everyone. The actual lip enhancer is nice, not necessary but I’ve really been enjoying it. I find it comfortable to wear all day without any dryness to my lips. At the end of the day they feel pretty good after wearing this formula (can’t be said of all balms to be honest so worth noting). I liked this, it’s not like my all time favorite thing ever, but it’s nice. I do need a shimmering bronzy pink nude shade though. That could be my favorite thing ever.
