Time for the July samples and empties post. Quick thoughts about each starting left to right above.
John Masters Organics Green Tea & Rose Hydrating Face Serum: This was OK, it was hydrating, no irritation, the scent is too essential oil earthy strong for me, I couldn't put it on my face so I only used it on my neck. Beyond hydrating I didn't notice much from it.
OSEA Vitamin Sea Serum: I liked this, I'll have a full review coming one day. I briefly discussed it here.
John Masters Organics Herbal Cider Hair Clarifier & Color Sealer: Eh, smelled just like vinegar which made it hard to use, plus I didn't really notice any effect in lasting power of my hair color from it.
Renee Rouleau Bio Calm Repair Masque: This was a deluxe sample I got, it was cooling and refreshing, I have nothing bad to say about it. I currently have a few other similar products I use for cooling and calming so I wouldn't buy a full jar right now, maybe one day. I briefly discussed it here.
Zelens 3t Complex: So far I have a 10 ml tube I'm using after using about 1/3 of this full size jar. I'll do a full review after I'm done.
Cellese AnteAGE Serum: Loved it, I just did a full review of this here.
Tata Harper Smoothing Body Scrub: It was such a small sample I couldn't use it on my full body, so I used it on my hands. It was nice. I just ended up with 3 more small ones so I'm hoping it's enough to use for one full body trial this month, so check back on this one next month.
Tata Harper Hydrating Floral Essence: I love this stuff, I have a full bottle. I discussed it here.
Tokyo Milk Marine Sel Fragrance Sample: I loved it and bought a full bottle, an earthy, sea salt, summer fragrance. It's light and does need more frequent reapplying, but it's cheap.
Jo Malone Wood Sage & Sea Salt Cologne: I loved this sample as well and bought a 30 ml bottle after trying. It's a great light summer, sea salt yet not sweet fragrance.
Dr Hauschka Lip Care Stick: Loved it, ordered another once I was out. Moisturizing, not waxy, has a nice oil feel which I like in balms, it was a good stick balm. Not an overnight balm, but good for day. I talked about it here.
Armani Eyes to Kill Excess Mascara: This was OK, not as good as the Eyes to Kill Original, it was a bit clumpier from the 'excess' part maybe, so it took more work to make it not clumpy than the original. It was better than the Black Esctasy sample I tried last month.
Sunday Riley Effortless Tinted Primer Medium: This is maybe the second sample of this I've used. I actually recently bought the full size. I haven't reviewed it yet as with summer it's a bit heavy for me. This will get more use in the fall and winter. It's a lighter texture silicone primer.
Alpha-H Balancing Moisturizer & Gentle Exfoliant: This was OK, it was almost a bit too much for my skin, the glycolic acid must have been too high for me.
Elemental Herbology Facial Glow Radiance Peel: This was OK, not as good as many peels I own, plus I didn't like the granules in it. I prefer my OSKIA much more so I would not buy a full size. It wasn't irritating or to strong for me.
Omorovicza Cleansing Foam: Love this stuff, was my favorite find of 2014, which I talked about it here. I cut top off to get all the stuff out FYI before the picture was taken.
Perlier Shea Butter Intensive Nurturing Body Balm: I got this in a swap, it was OK, reminds me of L'Occitane Hand Cream, a little heavy, good for night. I wouldn't buy as I prefer others more.
Chanel Les Beiges Fluid #30: This was OK, a touch greasy for summer, gave a nice healthy sheer tinted moisturizer glow. Similar to Omorovicza's Complexion Enhancer which I much prefer as it's less greasy than the Chanel, and the smell is also fresher less rose floral than the Chanel.
Purederm Argan Oil Cleansing Towelettes: I bought these at Forever 21 only to get an exchange and they're OK for swatching, but kind of dry and I wouldn't buy again.
Tata Harper Rejuvenating Serum: I go back and forth with this one on wanting to go beyond trying a sample. It's a touch thick and too much for a serum, it could be a light moisturizer. I have now decided I prefer using their face lotion and the Nutrient Complex which together have the same ingredients as this.
Fresh Sugar Lip Serum Advanced Therapy: I had to force myself to use this large sample, it took a while as it was quite a bit of product for a sample. The texture and idea was fine, the after taste was terrible, that was the worst part, even towards the end of the sample test my husband said 'stop putting that crap on your lips it tastes terrible'. I didn't notice huge plumping or large benefits to make it worth while putting up with the taste, but it did plump some and was moisturizing.
Drunk Elephant Umbra Sheer Physical Defense: I wanted to try this forever and wanted to love it as I love all other Drunk Elephant stuff I've tried, but it was way too thick and greasy for me. There wasn't a huge white cast, but some.
Fresh Black Tea Firming Overnight Mask: This was nice, used in place of a cream it helped plump my skin overnight. I thought it was going to break me out as it's summer and it felt so heavy, but it didn't. I only got maybe 2-3 uses out of it, so I can't say if a full size product with regular use would break me out.
Earthen Instant Peel: This was terrible, the smell is like rubber. I actually used it once and tossed the rest out. I also hate these type of peels that pill and roll off, it just feels gross. Just my preference. I didn't notice any real big difference from it either.
Amore Pacific Intensive Vitalizing Eye Essence: This was OK, thin, slightly hydrating, no irritation. I didn't really notice much though that warranted me trying more of it.
Chanel Hydra Beauty Micro Serum: This was a nice hydrating light clear hyaluronic acid style serum. Nothing really extra special I got out of it, just hydration. I can get my dose of hydration with other benefits added from other products so for that reason I wouldn't buy a full size, had a slight rose scent like I would expect from Chanel.
Tata Harper Rebuilding Moisturizer: I've been torn between this or the below Repairative Moisturizer being my next lotion purchase, very similar ingredients. This one is lighter and able to be layered better so ultimately this will be the one I buy when I need a light lotion again. It's a nice lotion, love the ingredients and the scent isn't as strong as some of her stuff.
Tata Harper Repairative Moisturizer: Slightly more moisturizing version of above.
MUFE HD Creme Blush 410: I like the formula, it' s a thicker cream blush. This was a coral blush shade, I didn't finish it as I have a few corals but just don't reach for them that often.
Anastasia Clear Brow Gel: Eh, I thought I would try it, but I didn't like it. Too hard feeling. I didn't get flaking off like previous clear brow gels I've tried so that was a bonus. I just prefer clear brow waxes to gels as they're softer.
Armani Luminous Silk Foundation 5: I've been trying this and 5.5, 5 is too light for me as a NC 25-27, 5.5 is a touch dark but the best match. It's nice, quite hydrating and not the best for summer. I might one day get a full bottle.
