I have a love hate relationship with Kjaer Weis. I love the luxe weighty packaging as it’s just so stunningly beautiful. Plus it’s also refillable which is nice when you have purchased that expensive case you don’t have to accrue the cost again. I have a hard time finding shades I like in their product range, that tends to be my downfall with them. I was excited to see this launch of the Nude, Naturally Collection with lipsticks and lipliners. I ended up grabbing three lipstick shades as I was trying to find my best match. The lipstick cases are gorgeous and refillable. The formula is creamy, hydrating and pretty pigmented. Nice formula no complaints there. The shades are all cream shades, no shimmer. I grabbed Calm, Thoughtful & Serene.
Calm is the peachy nude, Thoughtful is the coral nude and Serene is the cooler nude pink. While it looks like there’s a good different in swatches on my arm, on the lips the differences are negligible and they all almost look the same on. They all have the same depth there’s no real differences between them. They’re all also pretty pale. I’m usually the deepest light medium or lightest medium and all of these are too pale for my tastes as nudes. The only way I could get them to work for me was wear them over lip liner. I grabbed the Lip Pencil in Soft. The color is actually just what I was looking for. It’s a pinky nude with the perfect amount of depth for me. It’s my perfect nude.
I’m not a huge lip liner fan as they tend to dry my already dry lips out more. Plus I’m lazy, I like a one and done lipstick versus having to apply lip liner then a lipstick on top. So I tried really hard to make the lipsticks work for me but they ended up being a pass for me due to the pale nature of the shades. Sadly the next shade in the range Genuine is quite dark and berry which is not my style. So I keep using Soft the Lip Pencil. It’s pretty creamy and not drying like many so it can be used as a lipstick but I do have to wear a gloss or balm over to keep my lips from drying out. Now if I could get the Soft color in the lipstick formula I would buy it and refill it until I died. Well, you get the idea.

So Kjaer Weis also launched a new foundation which sounded right up my alley. The Invisible Touch Foundation which is a lightweight, dewy serum style foundation. It looks beautiful on the skin. Really melds with it. I love lightweight dewy foundations. This one has a natural dewy finish with light to medium coverage. It might be too hydrating for say more oily skin types, but everyone else should like it. Especially drier types. It’s hydrating without being too greasy or heavy, it doesn’t separate on my either during the day nor cling to any type of areas. It just gives a nice natural glow and color to the skin. The formulation is beautiful. And for $48 it’s not bad for the brand, you do have to buy the cap on the side for $30 (if you even want it, I skipped it).
So I absolutely adore the finish of the foundation, but the packaging meaning the dropper is absolutely terrible. It barely gets 1-2 drops at a time, or sometimes it picks up nothing. Overall it takes me about 8 times to try to dispense enough foundation. It’s super annoying and honestly I gave up on the foundation because the dropper just irritated me so much to use it. It’s a shame to as the foundation inside is utterly gorgeous. I hope they can take the feedback and repackage this one day as every person I know who’s used this says the same thing-the dropper is terrible. An example of bad packaging, great product. The frosted glass bottle is nice and luxe it just needs a pump. At first I started off with Polished but that was way too dark so I grabbed Just Sheer which worked fine for me. It’s a little warm in tone and I could look for a more neutral shade but I’m not attempting that until they change the packaging.
