Lepaar x Boxwalla October Beauty Box

I can’t believe October is almost here. Fall means cooler weather and more lipids. A facial oil box from Lepaar and Boxwalla is perfect timing. One of the things I like about the Boxwalla Beauty Box is that’s it’s bi-monthly. That means I don’t get overloaded with products from a subscription box. I’ve been a fan of Lepaar for years. They’re a small indie Aussie brand that has such craftsmanship. Did you know they sun infuse the extracts in their oils? It’s a small batch company that does really well at oil based products. Their facial oils and balms are high quality and top notch. I’m so excited that Boxwalla brought Lepaar back into a box. Not only that but three of their new products as well.

Summer Wine Even Tone Antioxidant Shield is the perfect antioxidant oil. Think sun infused extracts from Primitivo grapes, fermented chardonnay & shiraz with saffron, Dragon’s Blood, mulberry leaves, Genetian root, hop, ginkgo biloba plus a smooth blend of oils and their Sacred Trinity Blend (frankincense, myrrh and 24k gold). The oils are olive, strawberry, blackberry, grape and buriti. Olive oil is in all their products, they sun infuse the extracts in this oil for a minimum of four months. This Summer Wine blend is lighter weight and super smooth and glossy in texture. It’s not the lightest oil I’ve ever used, but it’s pretty light and the lightest of this bunch. Suitable for day use (or nights whatever you wish). OK so if you like wine like I do (haha) and love this resveratrol rich ingredient, then you will love this. It’s what I would best call an antioxidant oil, but that doesn’t do it justice because it’s such a delicious treat. It’s spot on texture wise, has a gorgeous light fruity oil scent (nothing too sweet) and no essential oils so great for everyone. It avoids citrus oils which can be sensitizing for some. It just this utterly gorgeous antioxidant wine nectar for your face. I can see this paired with some of my other red wine skincare favs from Naturallogic (LUNA and ELEMENTAL). Summer Wine is hands down one of the best antioxidant facial oils I’ve tried to date. The profile is just gorgeous.

Elastic Love Firming Face + Neck Oil is exactly what it’s name says it is. A firming facial oil. This one is geared towards firming with quince fruit, kangaroo paw flower, red clover, bamboo, rice kernel, horsetail, artichoke and vanilla fruit extracts with evening primrose (has gamma-linoleic acid, anti-inflammatory), kalahari melon (antioxidant, anti-inflammatory), black currant (antioxidant, anti-inflammatory), pequi fruit (high in vitamin E & A), prickly pear (high in vitamin E, glow giver) and olive oils plus their Sacred Trinity Blend (frankincense, myrrh and 24k gold). It has a slight fruity scent but way more mild than the Summer Wine. The texture is glossy and medium weight. The goal with this oil is to tighten and help with elasticity plus replenish the skin with linoleic acid. This oil is geared towards those who would benefit from firming and lipid replenishment, it’s also essential oil free.

Smooth Operator Unfolding Face Balsam is an ode to artisan coffee. OK so I adore coffee every day (can’t function without it) as well as coffee oil in my skincare. I’ve tried pure green coffee oil and it’s intense so this is a great way to try a more well rounded formulation towards it. This has green coffee seed, roasted coffee bean, olive, chia, maracuja and cranberry oils plus passion flower, marshmallow, vanilla, coffee fruit and roasted coffee husk extract and bacuri seed butter. This is essential oil free, has a heavier texture and is the most moisturizing of the lot. Coffee seed oil is high in fatty acids, vitamin E and sterols making an antioxidant. Some studies have shown that coffee essential oil helps with elastin and collagen production, it’s anti-inflammatory & helps with all the basic of anti-aging like firmness, texture and wrinkles. It has a very potent scent to it. There’s no way you can have a coffee oil product without the deep earthy green scent. It’s not for everyone. I happen to like it. Smooth Operator is the heaviest of the three texture wise and it has a more earthy green scent. It’s toned down from a true green coffee only oil so I think it will be tolerable to many. I like this as a night oil due to the weight. It’s great under the eyes as well.

I prefer to use oils over misted skin for best absorption. You can mix these as well together. My favorites are most definitely Smooth Operator as a night oil and Summer Wine. Absolutely gorgeous oils. Didn’t expect any less from Lepaar. Each of these is a 15ml size and the value of the box is $188 for $49.95 to subscribe.
