Makeup Haul: ILIA, Florence by Mills & NUDESTIX

I need to start posting more makeup hauls on here. I finally caved and grabbed some NUDESTIX Nudies Matte Blush & Bronze sticks. I got Bare Back and Naughty N’Spice. I’ve always been curious about these because they’re highly raved about. I will say the creamy formula is superb. I wouldn’t say the product is cheap but it’s not exorbitant. Details per Sephora:

Hot off the runway, and paired with high fashion or bohemian chic looks, All Over Face Color is multitasking and dual-ended with soft color balm on one side and a blending brush on the other end for easy application that will not feather. Just draw on this weather-resistant, non-drying stick directly onto the skin, dabbing softly with fingers, or you can stipple on nude color with the included brush. You delivers custom, all-over face color that leaves your skin with a soft matte or dewy, lightweight, and elegant finish.

They have a satin creamy finish that’s quite pigmented. The formula blends really easily. It’s not too dry nor too emollient and never greasy. That’s exactly what I am looking for in a cream blush. They last at least 8 hours before fading. It really is a great formula and I see why many are obsessed. I think the brush on the other end is useless and I’d rather have just the blush stick. Plus it would save on plastic as I don’t see the need to throw a brush away every time you finish one. Bare Back is a light neutral nude pink while Naughty N’Spice is more a medium spicy rose nude. Both are cream with no shimmer. I prefer low to no shimmer in my blushes so I love that about them. I ended up liking Bare Back the most surprisingly. I thought it would be too light but it was perfect for a barely there nude pink flush. Great for that no makeup look. Naughty N’Spice was a touch darker than I prefer but otherwise a nice medium to deeper warm rose. Overall great formula and I would love to try other colors.

I finally found a shade of ILIA Color Block High Impact Lipstick I really enjoy. Amberlight is described as a Bardot nude. It’s a creamy medium warm nude pink with no shimmer. This is a clean formulation lipstick with really great pigmentation. It has a creamy satin almost semi-mate feel to it so it lasts a long time. Think semi-matte that’s creamy and not drying. But it’s not one of those really creamy lipsticks that slips all over the lips and fades quickly. So far it’s the only shade from their lipsticks that works for me. I’m too picky for my own good only going for that right shade of nude pink that’s not too pale nor too deep. I was browsing Ulta one day and ran across the Florence by Mills line. I love a nice nude pink blush and Cheek Me Later Cream Blush in Zen Z stood out to me so of course I grabbed it. The formula is a lighter texture creamy blush with a more emollient feel. This blush is one that doesn’t set down so it’s really hydrating and fades faster and slides off quicker. It gives a slightly glossy sheen to the skin. The shade Zen Z is a creamy non-shimmery shade of nude mauve brown. It’s a great color for me and I would give it medium pigmentation. You can layer it easily. I liked it but those more emollient glossy blushes are not my favorite so I found myself not reaching for it a lot.
