May Samples & Empties

Time for the May Samples & Empties Post. Quick thoughts about each starting above.

Klairs Toner Mate 2 in 1 Cotton Pad: My all time favorite toner/essence pads. Half is a pressed thin cotton perfect for thin liquids like acid toners, the other half is a thin spongy pad perfect for essences or thicker liquids. Both are thin enough to not waste a huge amount of product, plus they don't shed at all. Review HERE.

African Botanics Rose Treatment Essence: I loved this. It's a nice hydrating rose gel style product. Kind of like a gel that melts into the skin like an essence. It's very nice, a little pricey but African Botanics always delivers on quality. I do like Infusion better between the two. Review HERE.

Brooklyn Botany Matcha Green Tea Scrub: I liked this one. It wasn't my favorite of the three scrubs I tried, only due to the mint level. It was just a touch too minty for me. The rest of their scrubs are phenomenal.

Rita Hazan Ultimate Shine Gloss Breaking Brass: I love this stuff. A purple glossing foam that be used daily in the shower to help keep brassy tones at bay. I love how easy it is plus it lasts a long time. I'm easily on tube three or more by now. I consider it a shower staple now.

Royal Fern Phytoactive Cleansing Balm: I loved this. Nice slippery creamy gel like cleanser. It has a gorgeous light fresh scent. Review HERE.

Brooklyn Botany Brown Sugar Scrub: I loved this one. I love brown sugar and overall it was a nice affordable sugar scrub.

AMLY Silver Rich Face Mist Beauty Sleep: I loved this mist. Such a fine spray. AMLY makes some of the best mists ever. Review HERE.

Sente Bio Complete Serum: I loved this serum. I don't want to spoil my review. So more to come soon.

Herbivore Coco Rose: My monthly empty. How I love thee. Review HERE.

Biologique Recherche Placenta: I love the texture, the scent is terrible. I think this maybe wasn't for my skin type, more for acne sufferers or people with PIP. I'll talk about it more.

Elemis White Flowers Eye & Lip Makeup Remover: I liked this bi-phase eye makeup remover. I'm not a huge fan of oil based ones but this one didn't sting my eyes or cloud my contacts.

The Ordinary Natural Moisturizing Factors + HA: Love this cream to death. Super affordable too. Fragrance free. I love it as Ella's moisturizer. I will keep repurchasing. Review HERE.

Josh Rosebrook Vital Balm Cream: I liked this a lot. I love blue tansy. It ended up falling into this weird category for me where it wasn't enough in the winter but was too much in the other months. So while I liked having it around I just didn't use it as much as I wanted to. Review HERE.

YOU Barrier Repair Cleansing Balm: Love, love this stuff. A melty, antioxidant packed cleansing balm. One of my all time favorites. Review HERE.

Kate Somerville Clinic Reserve Advanced Rejuvenating Cream: This was OK. Simple cream. Nothing that made me feel I needed a big one.

Seed Phytonutrients Hand Salve: I liked this but it was a bit heavy and more greasy than I liked.

Truth Treatment Biomemmetic Priming Mist: I liked this but small size, large price and it wasn't life changing for me.

KYPRIS Moonlight Catalyst: I wanted to love this but it didn't do a huge amount for me. I much prefer their Antioxidant Dew.

YOU NJAAS Serum: Loved this. Fabulous acid serum. More to come.

Zelens 3t Complex: One of my all time favorite creams. Such a good product. Review HERE.

The Ordinary Caffeine Solution 5% + EGCG: I liked this. Nice light serum gel texture. It works great to depuff and is cheap. I really hate the dropper bottle because it gunks up around the edges bad. Review HERE.

Chanel Ombre Premiere Memory: I love the Ombre Premiere eye shadow. It's such a great formula. This one kind of dried out though before I could use it all. That's the only downside to these. They really need a half size pot. Review HERE. This shade was limited edition.

Peter Thomas Roth Wrinkle Resist Serum: I liked this sample a lot. Nice creamy texture that's not too heavy. Hard to tell much if a sample does anything though.

Tom Ford Cream Color For Eyes Platinum: I did completely use this one up. My all time favorite cream eye shadow ever. Love the color, never creases. It doesn't change in texture even when I had it for a long time. Bought a replacement. Will continue to repurchase. Review HERE.

ILIA Essential Brow Blonde: I liked this brow gel. It was light and reminded my of the Hourglass one. It needs to be smoothed a touch with the finger then it looks great. But that's how I apply all my brow gels. Works best with another color product to fill in the ends as it's light coverage.

Armani Master Corrector 2: I liked this. The light texture is easy to use and the peachy color does help cover dark circles. I'm just too lazy to use it under concealer all the time. Otherwise I would repurchase again.

Maison Francis Kurkdjian Paris Aqua Universalis: I like this light aquatic scent. I've gone through multiple vials.

La Prarie Skin Caviar Luxe Cream: I liked this more than I wanted to. It wasn't too heavy and gave a nice feel on the skin. I liked it at night. A little more scented than I like but not bad. I'd buy it but it's out of my price range.

Beauty Bio Skin Prep Pad: I used these to do prep for the roller. More on that when I review the roller.

Volition Apple Cider Vinegar Resurfacing Peel Pads: I liked these. Nice portable gentle acid peel. I don't like the waste they create with extra packaging, but great for travel.

Tata Harper Elixir Vitae Eye Serum: I liked the sample. It was small so hard to tell if it works much as you don't get to use it long enough. A little pricey for an eye serum for my normal range.

Sulwhasoo TimeTreasure Renovating Eye Cream: This was a nice eye cream. Medium weight. I liked it.

Rahua Hydration Shampoo & Conditioner: I love this brand and all their stuff is amazing. I need to get big sizes of these two once I actually need more shampoo & conditioner again.
