I have been in love with most Natasha Denona products since Beautylish released them. I decided to try out the Face Glow Foundation. I grabbed shade #30 and 42. It comes in a simple tube with a pump and retails for $42 for 1 oz. Details per Sephora:
What it is:
A bestselling, lightweight foundation with SPF 15 that offers brilliant staying power and stays looking flawless from day to night.
What it does:
This hydrating foundation is suitable for all skin types and will leave your skin with an even, flawless, natural-looking finish. Imparting a glowing, dewy effect, the foundation creates a smoothed and well-hydrated look while providing SPF 15 sun protection.
What else you need to know:
"My goal was to create a medium coverage foundation that would give a glowy look without looking greasy and would feel comfortable to wear and would be long lasting. My Face Glow Foundation is an essential part of my Glowing Skin System which is suitable for all skin types and all ages, including mature skin because it does not settle into fine lines and wrinkles. It gives a beautifully fresh, natural, and glowing finish. For combination and oily skin, I recommend priming the skin with my Face Glow Primer and using face powder after applying the foundation."—Natasha Denona
I find this to be a glowy, dewy foundation with light to medium coverage. It looks thick in texture but it's not heavy. It's really hydrating and feels almost like a skincare product. It has a bit of shimmer to it, nothing noticeable while worn. I only noticed it when I did swatches in the sunlight. It doesn't clog my pores or cause any irritation. While it's thick and hydrating, it's not heavy and greasy.
It lasts 6-8 hours on me depending on the season and day. I found shade #30 to be like a NC 25, and a bit too light for me. Shade #42 is more like NC30 almost a bit too dark for me, but it works. Best scenario is to mix them for me to get NC25-27 range. If I had to choose just one it would be #42 as it's a sheer formula and it's not too dark when sheered out.
If you have oily skin and live in a humid climate you might test this out first to see if it's for you. I have normal skin plus the current season and live in a humid climate. It's very dewy and during the summer can feel sticky here. So ultimately this foundation depends on your preference and what you like. It could be too much for you. It is a fresh and natural finish, nothing too heavy, matte or drying. On the other hand it could be too heavy in the moisture/dewy department for some.
I do enjoy using it, I like the dewy finish of it. While it's not for everyday for me, it's great for a dehydrated skin day to bring life back to it.
