First let's go over the details. This is cheap, we're talking $16. I like that. The packaging is sturdy with a pump, second check. The serum itself is a gel serum texture, it's hydrating but not too heavy. This works well in every routine I've tried it in, no pilling. I used this daily until I emptied it, I think it lasted about 6 weeks. The scent is nothing discernible, it's free of alcohol and any essential oils or fragrance. Vitamin K is interesting. It’s part of the coagulation process (it’s actually the antidote for a certain anticoagulant medication aka blood thinner). You may have hear it for dark circles but for more of a face serum it's not as common. Vitamin K might have antioxidant and anti-inflammatory properties as well as promoting wound healing. It may work in the healing aspect due to wound contracture--essentially triggering your body's healing response. There's not a whole lot about it in skincare and we definitely know more about it's function inside the body versus on the skin.
Vitamin K is fat soluble and you'll see Naturium encapsulated it with curcumin and pine bark. Interesting. I really love the new encapsulation technologies. It allows ingredients to sometimes be absorbed better by the skin. In short it gets them where they need to be easier. Plus encapsulation can help keep the main ingredient/s from interacting with other things. They also added arnica to this which is a great soother. Bisabolol is also soothing. Curcumin is the yellow spice turmeric. It's been used in Ayurveda for ages for soothing and anti-inflammatory benefits. It's also an antioxidant. Some (like myself) take the supplement orally to help with muscle and joint pain. Vitamin K may also help with brightening as well. I've tried a few vitamin K products and honestly I've never really been into them. They've never been a miracle product for me. I recently tried the Revision one for redness and honestly I would not buy that one again, it didn't seem to do anything for me.
I do really enjoy the texture of this one and the price in on point. I do feel like it did reduce my redness in the cheek area a bit and it feels soothing while using it. I think it's worth a try for everyone who has the need to soothe. It's not expensive to try. I actually plan on purchasing again during the next sale they have. This one was PR for me but I totally see myself using this a lot.
