Omorovicza Silver Skin Saviour

You all know by now I adore Hungarian spa brand Omorovicza. Their most recent launch is the Silver Skin Saviour. This is a mask treatment is perfect for blemish prone skin but it really has benefits for all skin types. Details per Omorovicza:

The perfect treatment for problem skin, this mask captures the power of colloidal silver and niacinamide. Colloidal silver has long been known for its anti-bacterial and curative properties. Combined with niacinamide, it provides a potent blend that combats blemishes and breakouts. Salicylic and glycolic acids help unclog pores to reveal clearer, smoother, healthier skin.

Suitable For Oily, Combination/Normal

Directions Apply a generous amount to face and neck, avoiding the eye area. Leave for 5 minutes on first use, increase to 10-15 minutes for subsequent use, depending on skin sensitivity. To remove, wipe well using a warm, damp mitt or face cloth.

Suggested usage once per week.

Key Ingredients

  • Colloidal Silver, known for its powerful antibacterial properties, helps cure skin infections, making it a superb topical treatment for blemishes and imperfections.
  • Niacinamide (Vitamin B3), known for its skin brightening properties, reveals a more even and refined skin tone, as well as helping to control sebum production.
  • Salicylic acid, also known as Beta Hydroxy Acid, exfoliates the surface of the skin, leaving it smooth and soft and also enhances cell renewal and improves pigmentation issues.
  • Glycolic acid, a powerful exfoliating AHA, reveals a brighter, clearer, and more even-toned complexion.
  • Omorovicza’s patented Healing Concentrate™ leaves skin firmer, more supple, with a younger-looking appearance.

As always this has the most luxe packaging. This mask comes in a stunning frosted silver glass jar. Omorovicza was kind enough to send a personalized flannel and brush with the mask. This mask has a thick almost gel oil texture. It’s the same as the Omorovicza Blue Diamond Peel, OSKIA Renaissance Mask or Farmacy Honey Potion. It starts as a thick oil gel that turns white when you rub it in (just like the others listed above). It never dries down so it’s hydrating the entire time while wearing the mask. This is my favorite type of texture for an acid mask. I love masks that don’t dry down fully. It’s unique and there aren’t that many with this kind of texture.

This is a weekly treatment. The glycolic acid will help resurface and exfoliate the skin. The salicylic acid will help clear and unclog the pores promoting clearer skin. It’s also anti-inflammatory. Colloidal silver is antibacterial and helps if you have acne or blemish prone skin. Even if you don’t have blemish prone skin it’ll help you out if just happen to be having a breakout week. Niacinimide is a powerhouse and jack of all trades. It helps with pigmentation, reduces appearance of pores, helps improve skins texture, reduces inflammation and fine lines/wrinkles plus it helps regulate sebum production.

This does have a slight fragrance. All Omorovicza products have a certain light fresh scent. They’re a spa line so it’s expected but not bothersome at all. It’s light. The mask has hydrating ingredients like glycerin, shea butter, phospholipids and castor oil. Its also got the Omorovicza Healing Concentrate. Those Hungarian thermal waters are just magical on my skin. While this mask has the same texture as the Blue Diamond Resurfacing Peel it’s geared in a different way. The Blue Diamond Peel is strictly an exfoliating/resurfacing mask (it’s a really good one using AHA lactic acid and PHA if you’re looking for one).

Silver Skin Savior while exfoliating is more geared towards problem skin types with the addition of silver, niacinimide & salicylic acid. I think this is for everyone as you don’t need to have problem skin to get benefits from this. The combination of glycolic and salicylic acids with silver and niacnimide makes for a well rounded treatment mask. It leaves my skin hydrated, super soft, exfoliated and my pores are taken care of. It’s nice to have both versions of the acid masks as they function differently. The hydrating gel oil texture is the best part, seriously.
