OSEA Malibu is a natural sea based niche skin care brand. I can't remember how I stumbled across them. Possibly a magazine. Anyway, I love natural ingredient brands and sea based skin care. I've tried maybe 75% of their products and did a brief introduction here. Some of my favorites are the Body Oil and Lotion. They have a couple of serums and the Vitamin Sea Serum is a moisturizing antioxidant serum.
Per OSEA's website: "This easily absorbed, potent serum contains an anti-aging blend of seven organic seaweed extracts in a hydrating Hyaluronic Acid base. Packed with powerful antioxidants including Ferulic Acid, Turmeric, and Walnut Seed and Green Tea extracts, this serum will plump up moisture-depleted skin and restore a youthful glow. The retail is $68 for a 0.6 fl oz glass bottle with a pump. Plus on the packaging, great for keeping the ingredients fresher longer. It's slim and fits well in a medicine cabinet. I always hate bulky packaging. The texture is a thin gel that absorbs quickly and isn't greasy. There's no real scent. It's minimal.
The ingredients: Aqua, Montmorillonite(mineral clay), *Fucus Serratus Extract(seaweed), *Enteromorpha Compressa Extract(green algae), *Palmaria Palmata Extract(red algae), Ascophyllum Nodosum Extract(brown algae), Glycerin, Sorbitol(sugar alcohol), *Gigartina Skottsbergii Extract(red algae), *Macrocystis Pyrifera Extract(giant brown seaweed), *Undaria Pinnatfida Extract(edible seaweed), Juglans Regia (English Walnut) Seed Extract, Olea (Olive) Europaea Leaf Extract, Sodium Hyaluronate, Citric Acid, Magnesium Ascorbyl Phosphate (Vitamin C derivative), Phyllanthus Emblica (Indian Gooseberry) Fruit Extract, Sodium Hyaluronate, Tetrahydro Curcuminoids (Turmeric), Ferulic Acid, Di-Potassium Glycyrrhizinate(licorice root extract), *Camellia Sinensis (Green Tea) Leaf Extract, Tocopherol (Vitamin E), Ascorbyl Palmitate (Vitamin C), Lonicera Caprifolium (Honeysuckle) Flower Extract, Lonicera Japanica (Honeysuckle) Flower Extract, Phospholipids.
While this is a moisturizing serum, it's not really groundbreaking ingredients. A lot of algae and seaweed in addition to some basic ingredients. It's fairly pricey at $68 for a half ounce. There was nothing wrong with this serum, I liked it. It's too pricey for an average product, especially with the small size, for me to buy it again.
