I've been wanting to talk about Pestle & Mortar for a while. Pestle & Mortar is a family run business from the UK. Their products have nice clean formulations. I've been playing with these three items from the brand for a while. The Double Cleansing System seemed like a good place to start because as you all know I'm addicted to cleansers. Erase & Renew-The Double Cleansing System
Double cleansing is simply cleansing your skin twice. The Double Cleanse System is made up of 3 components. Step one of the cleanse is Erase, a makeup removing balm, followed by step two Renew, an illuminating lightweight gel cleanser. The final component of The Double Cleansing System is the double cleanse facial cloth.

Erase is a makeup removing balm for calm, balanced skin.This lightweight balm removes all traces of makeup (even stubborn eye makeup) and SPF while priming skin for your nightly routine. The kit comes with two cleansers and one cloth. Erase is a cleansing balm. It has a sherbet style cleansing balm texture (meaning it's soft). It contains a few of my favorite oils like pumpkin & prickly pear. Grape, sunflower & meadowfoam oils are all light oils. Pumpkin has great anti-inflammatory benefits while prickly pear is anti-aging and powerful antioxidant. This balm will remove all your makeup with ease and best of all it's fragrance free. This does require a cloth to remove as it doesn't emulsify. I liked it but it wasn't my favorite cleansing balm of all time. I prefer the smoother textured ones or non-sherbet styles in general.
Renew Illuminating Lightweight Gel Cleanser
Refresh and illuminate skin with step two of the Double Cleanse. Formulated with Superoxide Dismutase and papaya and mango enzymes, this lightweight cleansing gel leaves skin bright, hydrated and glowing.

Renew was quite the surprise for me. I totally expected a gel cleanser but it actually has a gel-oil balm texture. Gel-oil balms are my all time favorite type of cleanser. This one has jojoba & meadowfoam oils combined with glycerin, superoxide dismutase & papaya & mango fruit extracts. The papaya and mango have gentle enzymes to help exfoliate and renew the complexion. Superoxide dismutase is one of the most powerful antioxidants. The jojoba and meadowfoam oils dissolve makeup leaving the skin hydrated and soft. You could easily use this as a morning cleanse on it's own (my favorite way) or as the designed second cleanse. I love this gel-oil balm it's definitely my favorite of the two. It has such a delicious texture.
The final component of The Double Cleansing System is the double cleanse facial cloth (100% cotton). This double sided multi-purpose facial cloth will help maximise the benefits of your cleansers to leave skin feeling clean and rejuvenated. The cleansing cloth features a naturally exfoliating muslin side and a smoother cotton side for polishing and perfecting your complexion.
This cleansing cloth has a muslin side and a cotton side for different ways of cleansing. I like muslin to remove masks but it's also great for balms. The cotton side is great for both cleansers. It's well made and I like having a double sided option in one cloth.
Pestle & Mortar Pure Hyaluronic Serum is the ultimate multitasker for your skin. This smooth concentrate targets fine lines, dullness and dehydration restoring a healthy glow, plumpness and radiance.
With time, Hyaluronic Acid in your body decreases, leading to dry aging skin and wrinkles among many other things. That is why it is so important to include HA in your skincare routine. The younger you start including HA the better.
The lightweight formula, with added Vitamin E can also be used as a velvety smooth makeup primer. Comes in a glass bottle with dropper applicator.

This hydrating serum is so simple and yet so divine. It's got a light, smooth, slippery texture. It's medium weight for a serum. It has aloe, sodium hyaluronate, glycerin and cucumber fruit. Perfection. It's soothing and hydrating without being sticky or heavy. It's easy to layer and doesn't pill. It's a simple, refreshing and effective hydrating serum. The texture is what really makes this such an amazing product. You just have to try it to understand.
