Raw Spirit Fragrances: Overview

Raw Spirit Fragrances is a clean sustainable fragrance line. It’s free of parabens, sulfates, gluten, petrochemicals, and formaldehydes. The line is also cruelty free and made in the USA. I started with the Discovery Set which allowed me to try all eight scents (It’s also only $25).

I ended up getting three larger sized bottles of my favorites kindly gifted by the brand. I have Winter Oak, Desert Blush & Mystic Pearl. I love the slim clear bottles & their labels. It’s quite aesthetically pleasing. Winter Oak is a dry, woody scent. It’s got a hint of suede, sage and citrus as well. Details per Raw Spirit:

Inspired by walking the oak-lined trails of the Chumash Lands of California on cool winter mornings, when crushed oak leaves and twigs release their rich scent. A decadent fragrance with smooth, creamy notes of aged American oak and layers of suede, saffron, premium Haitian vetiver and musk.

It’s very dry, it feels almost smoky but it’s not. The sage, suede and oak make for a very woody leather scent. The hints of citrus liven it up and keep it rounded. The silage is good on this one as well as the longevity. This is a very good winter scent. Its got a smooth warm woody leather feel.

Desert Blush is a warm floral. This is the perfect spring or summer scent. It’s got Australian sandalwood and floral note Australian Boronia. Overall it’s a warm, sweet, lighter scent. The silage and longevity isn’t as quite good with this one. I found myself having to reapply once during the day which was more than the other Raw Spirit scents. Details per Raw Spirit:

Inspired by the Western Australian desert at sunset, just before darkness falls. The harsh light of the daylight softens, turning the red soil into a deep pink. The land seems to exhale, filling the air with a sensual, dry, and sweet aroma. A heady scent featuring wild-harvested Australian sandalwood and a hint of the intoxicating floral note of Australian Boronia.

My favorite of the bunch is Mystic Pearl. Mystic Pearl is a light fresh aquatic scent inspired by the island of Bali. Details per Raw Spirit:

Inspired by the mystical island of Bali and the pristine waters of the South Seas, home to the magnificent Queen of Pearls, the Pinctada. We have unlocked a mystery—the secret scent of the pearl.

This luminous fragrance has a burst of ocean freshness from our signature ingredient—the essence of real South Sea pearls. A refreshing floral scent, mingling a heady mix of white flowers, jasmine and frangipani, with a hint of coconut and tropical spices, cinnamon and clove.

Mystic Pearl is more floral than my traditional sea scents as frangipani has a very distinctive scent and it’s apparent in this fragrance. It’s light and floral mixed with an aquatic edge. There’s no powder at all in this scent. That’s the only way I can do a white floral is if there’s no powdery edge at all. This is best described as a light fresh aquatic floral. The silage is good and the longevity is decent.

Overall I found this line isn’t the longest lasting. It’s pretty on par with other natural brands. They always seem to fade faster on me. To be fair my skin burns fragrances off quicker than the average person. Scents always fade faster in general on me but the natural ones are always quicker. I definitely love the aesthetic and brand ideals of Raw Spirit. Mystic Pearl is the newest scent and I look forward to seeing what they create in the future.
