Rituel de Fille Rare Light Luminizer Solaris: Swatches

I've written about Rituel de Fille Rare Light Luminizers a few times. They have become one of my favorite cream highlighters. I love their stiffer creamy texture with the pearly iridescent shifting colors. Solaris is a new limited edition shade that just launched. Details per Rituel de Fille:

Rare Light Luminizer: Inspired by extraordinary light phenomena, each shade imparts an ethereal glow—with a highlight that subtly shifts and transforms to reveal a remarkable depth of color.

As the light rises just above the horizon line, look up to the sky in awe. An all-seeing eye gazes back with illumination that is at once overwhelming, beautiful, complex and extraordinary. Refracted through the atmosphere, it diffuses in a soft, dreamy glow at the edges of vision.

Inspired by celestial light, we have created two uncanny colors in our new Rare Light Luminizers: Lunaris and Solaris. These opalescent shades capture the duality of the moon and sun, and the dimensional radiance of night and day.
With ethereal translucence on the skin and an intense iridescent color shift, Lunaris and Solaris are both highly adaptable—and stunning on a wide range of complexions. The effect is a truly striking lit-from-within look in impossibly beautiful shades.

This formula is one of my favorite cream highlighters. It's stiffer so it lasts a long time. Yet it's not too stiff to not be able to apply smoothly. See a more detailed review here and here. The luminizer has a faint lavender scent. I love that the formula is not greasy and soft yet it's not too stiff and hard. It's the perfect cream texture for a highlighter.

Solaris is described as The sun hangs low in the sky, reflected in glowing spires. Heat captured in the earth radiates upward, shimmering at the corona. Solaris captures the warmth of sunlight in a flash of warm, soft, radiant red fire within translucent opal. The color is a warm red pearl opal in a beige base. The base basically goes to clear on me and all I see is the fiery red pearl. It looked more pink in the pan but once applied and swatched it's definitely more red and warm.

I love the warm red pearly glow it gives my skin. This is not a highlighter shade that will lighten the skin, it adds more of a glow to it. I love using it on top of eyeshadows as well. Adds a red pearl to them. It's lip safe per Rituel de Fille's Instagram. I tried it on my lips, it was too drying but the red pearl was fun. A bit too light for my tastes. The base shows up better on lips than my cheeks. Sadly it's limited edition. I highly recommend you check out one shade of the Rare Light Luminizers if you like cream highlighters that shift colors and are unique.
