By now you might have seen me mention SACHI Skin a few times before. Their retinal serum is one of the best on the market, easily in my top three favorite retinoids (review HERE). There's definitely some brand and product fatigue right now due to the constant onslaught of launches and new brands. It's hard to stand out in a sea of endless variety and products in skincare at the moment yet SACHI Skin manages to do just that. They stand out by creating thoughtful, useful, purposeful products that can function as multiple products in a routine. While that ideology is present in many brands, SACHI manages to create products that work effectively as well. Lots of people can say my product replaces three serums in one, but does it really perform on that level? Not always.
Their newest launch the Pro Resilience Serum is right up my alley with restoration, repair, hydration and protection--without any irritating actives. Honestly those are my favorite kind of products right now. Details per SACHI:
This oil free pro-healing formula was created to focus on concerns of signs of ageing, dehydration, irritation, post-sun damage and reactive skin states. The proprietary 10.5% Ayurvedic Bioflavonoid Complex, Multi Molecular Hydrators and Peptide Technology activates skin resilience by powering it with antioxidants and multi-nutrients.
During the day, the skin barrier is supported to help protect against sun damage and soothe sensitive or reactive skin states. During the night, the skin’s natural repair process is enhanced, targeting fine lines, wrinkles, post-sun damage and uneven skin tone. The Pro-Resilience Serum results in calmer, firmer, more healthy-looking skin.
Key Benefits:
- Defends against signs of ageing
- Antioxidant support
- Supports healthy skin barrier
- Delivers intense hydration
- Supports skin’s renewal and dermal repair
- Soothes irritated, reddened and reactive skin states
- Helps reduce the risk of potential irritation and inflammation from active use (Vitamin A, Vitamin C and Exfoilants)
- Deviates from the usual lipid or oil formulations for barrier repair

I love the packaging as always. I like a minimalistic yet chic glass bottle with a pump. The texture surprised me, it's really light. Almost like a thicker essence or a thin gel serum. It's not tacky at all and sinks in quickly. I think many people will enjoy this texture. It layers well in any routine with no pilling plus it's oil and silicone free so I think that will be enjoyable for many especially the oilier skin types. This has no discernible scent and has no added fragrance or essential oils so that will make sensitive skin happy. As I said above this serum is geared towards skin protection, repair and increasing your skins resilience. It doesn't have any "actives" in the traditional sense of vitamin C, retinoids or acids. It's really meant to compliment other products in the SACHI line or on the market. I love that they didn't put niacinamide in it, considering it's in everything under the sun right now and this serum really compliments so many other products. It's going to work for all skin types, including sensitive and even oily.
Think of this product as a cool drink for your dehydrated skin with hydrators, antioxidants and soothing botanicals with a boost of anti-aging peptides. Use it in conjunction with other targeted products. Pro Resilience Serum combines a 10.5% ayurvedic bioflavonoid repair complex to help support combating inflammation and environmental stressors, anti-aging peptides, a trio of glucosides to help redness, irritation and reactivity plus a five hydrator complex with beta glucan, tamarind, Japanese sacran, glycerin and sodium hyaluronate. I love that they used beta glucan, it's such an underrated hydrator with the focus only being on glycerin and hyaluronic acid on a larger scale or popularity. Beta glucan is a polysaccharide found in either yeast, some mushrooms, seaweeds or grains. It's a humectant and soothing. The botanical extracts are centella, arnica, turmeric, aloe, knotweed, arnica, milk thistle, panthenol, cucumber, licorice, thyme. It also has ceramides, phytosphingosine and vegan cholesterol for an added lipid barrier healing boost without the heavy feel that some other types of products like this have.
The peptides are Palmitoyl Hexapeptide-52 and Palmitoyl Heptapeptide-18 are an encapsulated peptide product called X50 MYOCEPT. These peptides are one of those "neuro peptides" that claim "Botox like effects". Obviously they're not Botox in a jar or Botox would cease to exist, but I do find these types of peptides great at firming, smoothing and helping to diminish the appearance of lines and wrinkles. These peptides work by targeting the same wrinkle forming mechanism caused by muscle movements in the face essentially in a similar fashion to Botox, but not nearly as effective. That's why Botox is a drug and peptides aren't. Still I'll take the serum over the needle myself right now. Regarding peptides I think those that see the most benefit are those that have the most to gain--likely if you're young and don't have many lines or wrinkles you're not going to notice the effect that much, whereas if you're older like me you'll see a better effect.
The serum also has three glucosides for targeting inflammation, redness, soothing and reactivity: rosmarinyl glucoside, caffeyl glucoside, gallyl glucoside. You may notice these are found in one of my other favorite soothing products NIOD Modulating Glucosides. Glucosides are a sugar molecule (glucose) attached to another component. Rosmarinyl glucoside is rosmarinic acid (active part of rosemary) combined with glucose, caffeyl glucosdie is caffeic acid (main active part of green coffee) with glucose and gallyl glucoside is gallic acid (from oak leaves) with glucose. Think of glucosides as ingredients that either are antioxidant/photoprotective, helping with redness or inflammation and soothing. I don't really understand how they work, but in a nutshell every product I try with glucosides is pretty soothing for me. The serum has a lot of the usual goodies for calming and soothing like centella, cucumber, aloe, licorice, arnica, panthenol and milk thistle but I want to focus on knotweed. I first came across it in NIOD Survival 0 and then later in Flawless Canvass. Knotweed is a flavonoid rich extract that helps protect skin from UV and infrared damage. This should help protect against future photo induced aging as a compliment to sunscreen.
I love literally everything in and about this serum. You can see how it can sub for multiple products in one. I used it twice a day for the last month and subbed it for my usual soothing serum. Pro Resilience Serum managed to keep my skin calm and happy while reducing visible redness as well. As background I'm mid-forties with dry, rosacea prone skin with redness and sensitivity that at times is so intense it feels like my skin just hurts. I ditched ascorbic acid and exfoliating acids which helped but I still experience this sensitivity and pain at times. I look to products like this to soothe and help keep my skin from hurting. Lately my skin has been very sensitive and if a serum can manage to keep the irritation, redness and pain from inflammation at a lower level then I'm good with it. I just want a reduction in the sensitivity, I have realistic expectations of cosmetic products. Sometimes what I'll notice is I can just use my retinoids without any increasing sensitivity. It helps increase my tolerability. Now I will tell you not every soothing serum can manage to do these things for me. Actually I have a short list and I know you'll ask me for if I don't list it so here you go (Flawless Canvass, Naturium Vitamin K, NIOD MG, Glow Recipe Avocado Serum). In comparison to those products SACHI functions fairly similarly to Flawless Canvass for me but the texture is thinner. I get similar redness and sensitivity reduction. I get more redness reduction from SACHI than I do Naturium or NIOD but all three have similar reduction of sensitivity. Glow Recipe I get some redness reduction from (similar but less than Naturium) and mild reduction of sensitivity, so it's nice as a hydrating serum but not on the same level as the others or SACHI.
I loved using this in conjunction with my LED mask (Omnliux or Current Body), they work really well together. After using twice a day for a month I can say it's pretty good at reducing visible redness and sensitivity. It helped increase my tolerability of my retinoids as well. Honestly that's all I can ask for so I say it delivers. This serum is really more of a multi-purpose antioxidant, hydrating, soothing, repair/replenishing style product. I also tested this without any other barrier/soothing/repair style serums so I could really see how this stacked up in that aspect versus more of a hydrating/aox serum. Lately I'm really into non-vitamin C alternatives for antioxidant protection so extra bonus for that. This is great for replenishing moisture to dehydrated skin. Remember you can be oily, dry, combo and still be dehydrated. Dehydration is a skin condition, not a skin type. I can't think of anyone that this wouldn't work for. It should be fine for rosacea, eczema, acne and sensitive types. There's no potential sensitizers I see in it (though yes some can be sensitive to anything).
If you have oily skin you'll love this because it's light and doesn't feel sticky or heavy. If you like really heavy duty hydrating serums this might be on the lighter end for you. I just layer another hydrating serum over it if I need it. Those who don't like essences, or don't use that style of product due to the extra step, might enjoy this as a first step because it's not heavy like some hydrating serums and then if you need more layers due to being dry, add more. I use this is the morning with additional peptide/growth factor and pigmentation serums. At night I use this before retinoids and also with the same peptide/growth factor and pigmentation serums. I have mostly been using this as my soothing, barrier repair style serum in my routines. I use a serum like this all the time and just rotate new ones to try into the same slot. You can easily pair this with your favorite vitamin C in the morning if you use it. It's a great compliment to any product in your routine.
I received this one as a PR gift but I would buy it again. I love how light and easy to fit in a routine it is. The texture is just so light and delightful. It's almost a little bouncy or airy. Think slippery light airy, bouncy thin gel. I think everyone will appreciate how well it layers and doesn't feel tacky. It's more than just a barrier or hydrating serum. You will get a multi-purpose function out of this one. You could use just this and the retinal and that would be a good combo. I'll add this to my barrier serums favorites and remember you save 15% off SACHI with code MICHELLE15 HERE. I feel like resilience was such a great choice for this serum name wise. It really describes what it does--helps increase your skins resilience. This goes up there as a favorite from the brand with the retinal. Those are my top two, I know everyone loves the acid and the pigmentation serum but my skin couldn't tolerate them well. This one was right up my alley and I love seeing more advanced barrier serums with purpose coming onto the market.
