Surratt Automatique Lip Crayon Megalomane: Review & Swatches

The Surratt Automatique Lip Crayon is a "high-pigment lip crayon with a lightweight, non-drying matte finish". This is a small twist up tube with the glossy Surratt logo on a matte black plastic tube. If you're not familiar with Surratt most of the items are tiny, this lip crayon has 1.3g of product and the retail is $34. It can now be found at Sephora in addition to Barney's.

Megalomane is a true blue red cream. The formula is not as drying as I thought it would be. It was like an average matte lipstick as far as moisture, not a lip liner like I expected. MAC Ruby Woo is more drying on me, this was more like Russian Red. It lasted average for a matte, I found it came off half after a meal, and didn't transfer to a cup much while drinking. You can't resharpen the product so once the tip wears down you loose the full preciseness of the original design. Then it becomes a regular high end slim, matte blue red lipstick. It's lightweight, extremely portable because of it's size, so if you love mattes, red and a slim design this one might be for you.

Swatches:

Top to Bottom: Surratt Megalomane, MAC Russian Red, Charlotte Tilbury So Marilyn, Charlotte Tilbury Red Carpet Red, Tom Ford Slander:

MAC Russian Red and Charlotte Tilbury So Marilyn are warmer, Tom Ford Slander is pinker, Charlotte Tilbury Red Carpet Red is the closest that I own.
