Tatcha The Deep Cleanse

I honestly don't know why I've never bought a TATCHA item before this. I decided to try The Deep Cleanse as my first. Details per TATCHA:

A daily gel cleanser with natural fruit exfoliant that deeply but gently lifts impurities and unclogs pores, while leaving skin soft and hydrated.

The Deep Cleanse oil-free gel lathers into a creamy foam to lift away dirt, oil and impurities without over-drying. It cleanses with amino acids derived from silk gentle enough for even the most delicate skin, leaving skin soft, refreshed and comfortably hydrated.

The formula harnesses the power of the Japanese Luffa fruit, a natural beauty multi-tasker beloved by Japanese women for centuries. Ground fibers from the fruit exfoliate, helping to turn over dead skin cells, deeply purifying & decongesting pores, while the fruit extract beautifies and conditions skin.

Japanese Wild Rose works to visibly tighten pores and smooth skin texture, while Japanese Leopard Lily helps minimize excess oil.

Key Ingredients

Hadasei-3: Tatcha’s trinity of anti-aging superfoods reveals soft, youthful skin.

Uji Green Tea Prized throughout Japan as the purest, finest source of Green Tea, this powerful antioxidant-rich botanical from Kyoto is known to detoxify and prevent signs of premature aging.

Okinawa Mozuku Algae This sea treasure from Japan’s tropical islands is rich in polysaccharides, essential for skin water retention and renewal.

Akita Rice This rice is known as the finest rice in Japan for its superior taste and quality. It is also a nourishing moisturizer, rich in essential proteins.

The Deep Cleanse comes packaged in a blue plastic squeeze bottle. This has a gel balm cleanser texture. The Luffa fruit gives this a chunkier manual exfoliating texture as well. It smells lightly like fruit or citrus. There's no oils in this cleanser to make it a balm cleanser, but it feels like one in texture. I really like the base of this cleanser. It leaves my skin baby smooth and soft. It does feel like it cleanses deeper without clay or being drying. I like this as a morning cleanse or as a second cleanse.

The Luffa fruit does have a chunky texture that leaves little pieces on the skin. I'm really not into that. That's the only thing I dislike about this cleanser. I've never been into the chunkier fruit textured product. I would prefer to have the pieces a bit more ground up. I think you're either going to either love it or hate the textural part like I do. Everyone has textural things they cannot do. I love the base of the cleanser and the feel this gives my skin after cleansing. I just have a hard time with the texture part. I wouldn't repurchase due to that reason only.
