Tom Ford Soleil Lip Foil 02 Spanish Flame: Review & Swatches

Tom Ford lipsticks are one of those luxury items that you love to have. The Holiday Winter Soleil Collection has new Lip Foiliconfinish lipsticks. Spanish Flame seemed the most nude and neutral for my tastes. It comes in the white and gold case and has the thinner Lip Sheer shape. The retail is a hefty $53 per tube.

Per Sephora: "Lip Foil features three-dimensional, ultra-fine mica that reflects a vibrant, reflective-foil finish in a range of stunning shades—from bronzed neutral to shimmering peach and pink, to sparkling plum. Glide it onto your lips for a smooth, even application and brilliant, elegant color."

The texture is thin yet very pigmented. It's not glossy, more of a satin finish. It's not really hydrating nor really drying. It's more matte than a creamy lipstick, but it's not a true matte either. The Lip Foil has a very shimmery metallic frost finish, no glitter. Yay. It lasts fairly well 4-6 hours depending. It has a lovely vanilla scent.

Spanish Flame is a warm frosty coppery medium nude. It was a bit hard to get good swatch photos because it was so reflective from the very frosty metallic finish.
