Top 3: Lightweight Facial Oils

Likely you've seen me mention these facial oils numerous times over the years. I've done different types of Top 3 Facial Oils posts but I'd like to go over my favorite lightweight facial oils. I'm on bottle number two of all of these and I would purchase them again in a heartbeat. I picked four because there really are four lightweight facial oils I totally adore. One of my first loves was the Twelve Beauty Intelligent Frontier Facial Oil which uses unsaponifiables. Unsaponifiables are part of the plant oil that isn’t broken down when it’s being refined for cosmetic use. Unsaponifiables can be made for the specific purpose as the desirable end result to be used in a product like a facial oil. These unsaponifiables are high in nutrients more so than the traditional oils. This oil is super lightweight and if you never liked facial oils, this one just may change your mind. It manages to be really nourishing without being heavy. It's a nice unique facial oil. The scent is very light and I'm so happy to have bottle number two again. Full review HERE. YOU Skincare Tranquil Face Oil for Sensitive Skin is super lightweight and perfect for summer or less dry types. It's also meant for more sensitive skin. This oil is never heavy or greasy and it has no essential oils. It just sinks right into the skin and has this nice silky feel. I love the light almost hint of cucumber scent. It has anti-inflammatory, antibacterial & decongesting benefits to help problem skin plus antioxidants. Bottle number two and I'll be breaking it open again this summer with a happy smile on my face. Full review HERE.

My newest facial oil love is the Biophile Bio Barrier Nourishing Oil. It has this super light almost dry touch oil feel so it's great for summer or hot climates. It has fermented green tea seed oil (fermentation improves antioxidant capacity and helps skin absorb it better), glycolipids (similar to ceramides helping reinforce the barrier help reduce TEWL), vitamin C (Tetrahexyldecyl Ascorbate), Schisandra berry extract (adaptogenic, reinforce the Dermo Epithelial Junction increasing skin firmness, elasticity and tone), plus squalane, rosehip, sacha inchi, grape seed and raspberry oils. It has a hint of a vanilla scent from the vanilla extract combined with the natural oils. Think a light vanilla kissed berry oil scent. Berry oils don't smell super sweet like berries so it still has that earthy facial oil scent. I love the combination of antioxidant rich oils as well as the vitamin C. I like this one during the daytime. The texture of this one is just divine, I love the antioxidant profile and it's just a fantastic and unique oil. OUMERE Serum Bioluminelle is the most cool looking facial oil you will ever try. It beaker shaped bottle is stunning. What's inside is even more stunning. This is more of a serum/oil hybrid but it functions like a lightweight facial oil for me. It could be an all in one emulsion if that's your thing. It’s got quite a bit of my favorite ingredients like aloe, turmeric, broccoli extract, ginseng, beta glucan, horse chestnut, ursolic acid, reishi & shiitake extracts plus carrot, watermelon, prickly pear, black seed and green coffee oils. It's pricey yes. It takes a while to use it up. You do need to shake it first then apply. It has this super light texture and adds this nice soothing and hydrating coating to the skin that with daily continued use gives a smoother feeling to my skins texture. This is bottle number two purchased by me and I'm about to break it open again next month (I start using the lightweight oils from May-September). I have a full thorough review HERE going through all of the benefits. This oil is unique, it's fun, it's pretty to look at and it works. I just love the way my skin feels when I use this one. I have so many facial oil babies so I can't ditch them all just for this one. I do miss it when I don't have it.

I picked all of these for their unique profiles and ingredients combined with stellar textures. Not all facial oils are the same no matter what they tell you. Oils have totally different textures based on their sourcing. You just have to try a bunch to know a good one when you see it. The YOU Skincare oil was gifted though I bought the first, and the Twelve Beauty was gifted by Boxwalla as PR but I also bought one first as well. I would still buy them again. I had all of these picked as my top three lightweight oils two years ago but I updated the photo to add Biophile because it was so unique and deserves to be here as well.
