I like trying small indie brands as much as the big ones. Sometimes there's a real gem in there. I randomly came across this True and Olive Hello Organic Facial Cleanser. Details per True and Olive:
Hello is an organic deep cleansing face wash specially formulated to support you in your battle against the breakouts, while balancing your skin’s oil production and nourishing it, allowing it to heal. It is chemical free and effective! Our ingredients like lavender, willow bark, rosemary, lemongrass and vitamins B5 and C will help you fight acne without attacking and stripping your skin. Our formula is 98% organic and is an effective acne solution, yet gentle enough for sensitive skin.
Directions Wet face and gently massage into skin. Rinse thoroughly and pat dry with a clean towel.
The cleanser comes in a glass bottle with pump. My favorite. It'll cost you $24.95 for 4 oz on Amazon. This brand sells their product on Amazon only right now. This is a gel style cleanser with that new texture I see everywhere. It starts out as a gel.
The gel can foam on dry skin lightly as in picture below. Add water for a low foam SLS free cleanser that cleans without stripping the skin of moisture. I found this cleans pretty well & like a traditional gel cleanser. I preferred this as a second cleanse at night or in the morning alone. I don't use gel cleansers to remove makeup, as they always disappoint me, so I didn't test this one that way. I prefer a double cleanse with oil based first. This cleanser felt like it got into my pores pretty good & wasn't really drying. It did make my face feel a touch more squeaky clean than I prefer but not dry by any means. It's a deeper gel cleanser.
This cleanser contains coconut & sunflower oil, witch hazel and lavender hydrosol. Add in some B5, vitamin C, MSM, aloe & beta hydroxy acid containing willow bark extract. There's a few essential oils like clove & lemongrass but the scent is minimal. There's also juniper & rosemary extracts plus a touch of cayenne. Capsicum in skincare helps stimulate blood flow. I didn't feel any irritation from the clove or cayenne. I never would have guessed cloves & cayenne were in the cleanser without reading the inci list.
This is geared towards more problematic skin types but should be fine for any skin type. Some who are sensitive to essential oils, or things like clove and cayenne might have an issue with it. Again those two ingredients were hardly noticeable for me nothing like the clove in EVE LOM or cayenne I've tested in other products where you can truly feel it.
