You might remember me talking about VENN Skincare a lot last year as it was one of my favorite brand discoveries of 2018. The overnight mask and concentrate are still some of my favorites today. VENN is formulated in South Korea & has a very clean formulated line. It very much like a K Beauty meets clean meets luxury meets clinical skincare line. The mask is a serious plumper white the peptide rich concentrate erases most of my lines and wrinkles after two weeks of use. Both are big dewy glow givers. Review HERE and HERE. VENN just launched a new cleanser, facial oil and vitamin B concentrate. I have two of the three to talk about. The red color of the Advanced Multi-Perfecting Red Oil Serum is completely stunning. Details per VENN:
Advanced Multi-Perfecting Red Oil Serum is a multi-correctional face oil serum, strategically formulated using 34 natural botanicals and essential oils to deliver a category-defining, comprehensive treatment. 100% of the formula are efficacy-driven bioactives. Key ingredients include Lithospermum Erythrorhizon (Gromwell) Root Extract and Angelica Gigas (Korean Angelica) Root Extract that are fermented for 150 hours at low temperature for amplified delivery and performance on the skin, and formulated based on a time-tested skincare prescription from Dongui Bogam, an encyclopedic medical book written in the 17th century during Korea's Joseon Dynasty that is listed on UNESCO's Memory of the World Register.
Dongui Bogam is an encyclopedic medical book compiled by Heo Jun, a court physician, during Korea’s Joseon Dynasty in the 17th century, and is listed on UNESCO’s Memory of the World Register. Dongui Bogam provides an herbal ointment prescription called “Jaungo” to treat various skin conditions. We decided to take this 400-year-old, time-tested skincare prescription and reformulate it into our multi-correctional oil serum with clinically tested efficacy and modern convenience.

I have to admit I was so excited for this facial oil then once I got it I was so afraid to try this due to the fractionated coconut oil. I've had bad reactions to coconut oil in the past, however fractionated is not the same as regular coconut oil. It's less congesting to me than the full on version. I tested this for about 4-5 weeks solid every night and had no breakouts or congestion whatsoever to the fractionated coconut oil. This facial oil also has a lighter texture than I expected. It has a nice medium to lightweight texture. Usually the fractionated coconut oil gives facial oils an almost dry touch and slightly thicker texture I'm not fond of but not with this one. The fractionated coconut oil is also not the first or second ingredient like it is in the oils where I don't like it, it's halfway through the inci list. So fear over the inci list for nothing. We all do it, we're human. Moral of the story is just try it because you never know.
This facial oil has a lighter non-greasy or heavy feeling texture so it gives a nice glow without being heavy. The scent is this nice light citrus kind of natural plant extract smell. It's not floral nor earthy or deep green. It's just light and fresh. This does have some essential oils so those sensitive to essential oils will just have to try it out. I thought this was the perfect texture and hydration for summer nights and it will suit winter days as well. Overall this oil gives a nice radiant glow to the skin. It's got antioxidant and free radical protection, fermented extracts (always a favorite of mine), radiance boosting oils plus ingredients to help with firmness and elasticity. It's an all around treatment oil. My skin felt very radiant while using this oil.
The Moisture-Balance All-In-One Face Cleanser was an item I thought I wasn't going to be into that much. I have a ton of cleansers and lets face it after a while they all seem the same. This is quite phenomenal however and I really loved it. Details per VENN:
Moisture-Balance All-In-One Face Cleanser is a multi-tasking, non-foaming facial cleanser (quasi-semi-emulsion type) with low pH (5.0~6.0; similar to skin's natural pH level) that, in one simple step, gently cleanses and lifts impurities and removes makeup, while mildly exfoliating the skin. It does not use surfactants, but instead uses humectants to cleanse the skin with a soft, hydrated finish.
96.8% of the formula are naturally-originated, and 82.7% are bioactives, driven by Vitamins B3 and B5 and Antioxidants including Centella Asiatica (Cica) Leaf Extract, Ellagic Acid and Green Tea Catechins. It contains PHA (1.5%), Xylitol and Fruit Enzymes (Papain and Bromelain) to mildly exfoliate the skin for daily usage.
Cleansers typically fall into one of the following categories: milk type, gel type, oil/balm type, and foam type. Milk and gel cleansers often use macromolecules, including gums and waxes, to increase viscosity and create their textures. These macromolecules with large particle sizes may clog pores and prevent deep cleansing of the skin. Oil/balm cleansers often leave oil residues on the skin and are not suitable for oily or sensitive skin. Foam cleansers often have high pH and end up stripping the skin, making them not suitable for sensitive skin.
Moisture-Balance All-In-One Face Cleanser is a quasi-semi-emulsion type created using water and oil based ingredients and humectants, with particle sizes smaller than emulsions, to deeply cleanse the skin, including pores and wrinkles, and remove makeup without stripping the skin.
+ Instantly hydrate skin
+ Remove make-up
+ Cleanse pores and wrinkles

Key Ingredients
Our cleanser is formulated without any surfactants. Instead, it uses humectants to deeply cleanse the skin, including pores and wrinkles, while keeping the skin soft and moist. Camellia Sinensis Catechins and various plant and fruit extracts help restore and maintain sebum balance, while Vitamins B3 and B5 and Ellagic Acid install radiance to the skin. PHA (1.5%), Xylitol, and Fruit Enzymes mildly exfoliate the skin for daily use.

This has such a nice creamy gel, low foaming, hydrating texture. It's perfect for a morning or second part of a double cleanse. This is fragrance free, it has calming and antioxidant benefits plus it's super gentle and non-drying. This has a low pH of 5.5 which is perfect for preserving the moisture barrier. High pH cleansers can strip the moisture barrier over time. I didn't even try this to remove makeup to be honest. I don't even bother with non-oil based cleansers to do this anymore. What I love about it is the gentle fragrance free nature, great inci list and low pH. If you like gel cleansers this is a really phenomenal one. I love the pump packaging as well.
Overall I was very pleased with their new launches. I really need to get the B Concentrate as I'm sure it's amazing. I was going to grab it in the fall when it gets cooler as I think it has a heavier creamy texture. If you're only going to get one of the two I would go with the cleanser as it's such a nice gentle one.
