VENN Vitamin B Activated All-In-One Concentrate & Age Response Compound K Hyaluronic Booster

I love VENN Skincare. I was obsessed when they launched their All-In-One-Concentrate. You can read my original post HERE (which also has an intro to the brand). I grabbed two new items from them because I was curious about their new launches (I still want to try the other booster and mist but a girl only has so much money at a time). The Age-Response Compound K Hyaluronic Booster is more than a hydrating serum. It’s hydrating, anti-aging plus antioxidants. So it’s really a multi-focal serum. Details per VENN:

Anti-aging and brightening serum supercharged with 2,550 ppm of VENN’s water-solubilized Ginsenoside Compound K (KR Patent 10-2055210), a powerhouse Antioxidant and the key anti-aging bioactive component of Panax Ginseng. The Booster features VENN’s Solubilization Technology (KR Patent 10-2055210) to water-solubilize Ginsenoside Compound K and thereby use potent concentrations of this powerful natural active in the formulation for brighter, firmer, and more even-looking skin.

The Booster is also packed with 5 different types of medium- and high-weight hyaluronic molecules, Peptides, Polyamine, and Vitamins B1, B2, B3 (Niacinamide), and B9 that work in synergy with Ginsenoside Compound K to provide comprehensive anti-aging skin benefits, including strengthening the skin’s appearance and visibly reducing wrinkles, pores, and discoloration.

Recommended as a powerful alternative to a vitamin C (L-ascorbic acid) serum in terms of its skin benefits, without any of the negativities associated with vitamin C such as oxidation and sensitization.

Key Benefits:

  • Ginsenoside Compound K When researching next-generation antioxidants, we discovered Ginsenoside Compound K, an active metabolite and a key bioactive component of Panax ginseng. Studies have shown that it helps promote collagen synthesis and fights comprehensive signs of aging, including dryness, hyperpigmentation, UV-induced skin damage, wrinkles, and loss of elasticity and firmness. But due to its extremely low solubility in water, Ginsenoside Compound K has been prevented from being effectively used in skincare formulations – until now.
  • Patented Technology We were granted patent in South Korea on our water-solubilized form of Ginsenoside Compound K and our method of water-solubilizing Compound K. We showed through a third-party in-vitro study that Ginsenoside Compound K exhibits as high antioxidant power as Vitamin C (L-Ascorbic Acid) when it is water-solubilized at a concentration of 750ppm. With our patented Solubilization Technology, we are able to water-solubilize Ginsenoside Compound K at a concentration of 400,000ppm.

Lately I’m all about vitamin C alternatives so I was excited to finally get this one fully integrated into a routine. This serum has a dropper style glass bottle (I do wish it was a pump). The serum itself is thin, not sticky, slippery and it’s really a nice lighter serum texture. It has no discernible scent, just light natural ingredients. This has a base of Houttuynia Cordata water which is a soothing plant. This also has compound k, green tea, soy, Acmella Oleracea (I forget the other name buzz button or something, it’s a line “reducing” extract), coffee seed extract (antioxidant, some anti-aging), licorice, chamomile, green tea catechins (the rich antioxidant part of green tea), skullcap, peony, a bunch of other plant extracts, hydrators like glycerin and hyaluronic acid, amino acids, b vitamins plus peptides: Nicotinoyl Dipeptide-22 and sh-Polypeptide-64 (anti-aging, helps with lines).

Really just think lots of antioxidants, soothing plant extracts, hydrators, anti-aging ingredients plus brighteners (licorice and compound k). More than just a hydrating serum. I did not want to like this one because it’s expensive. However, I really like it. It’s got a beautiful texture, I love the combination of ingredients, it’s easy to add into a routine. Antioxidant serums are really hard to judge large results from. They’re just not as easy as say vitamin C or something like acids. This one gave a little luminous glow, I wouldn’t say huge brightening results, glow level. Plus it hydrated, protected with antioxidants and gave a little boost with the peptides. This is for someone who likes well done luxury products with nice textures. If you want an interesting non-vitamin C style serum that’s more than a hydrating serum with a good texture then you’ll like it. I want to try the cica one next, then one day I might come back to this one. Maybe it’ll have a pump by then (I’m klutzy and spill easy).

I wanted to see how the Vitamin B Activated All-In-One-Concentrate stacked up to the original. I think of this one as a supercharged vitamin B or soothing cream. Details per VENN:

Anti-aging, multi-correctional cream, scientifically formulated with VENN’s proprietary Concentric Technology™ using Vitamins B1 (Thiamine HCL), B2 (Riboflavin), B3 (Niacinamide), B5 (Panthenol), B7 (Biotin), and B9 (Folic Acid), 11 Amino Acids (including 8 Essential Amino Acids), and VENN’s water-solubilized Mastic Gum (US Patent 10,881,127B1) as key ingredients to deeply hydrate and effectively improve the skin’s complexion in a single step.

This advanced cream features VENN’s Solubilization Technology (US Patent 10,881,127B1) to water-solubilize Mastic Gum—a powerhouse Antioxidant—and thereby use potent concentrations of this powerful natural active in the formulation to fight various signs of aging and visibly improve skin’s clarity and radiance. The Concentrate is also powered by VENN’s Multi-Layer Vehicle Delivery Technology (KR Patent 10-2133629) and 3D Hydration Technology (KR Patent 10-2140863) to deliver visible, unparalleled results.

Key Actives:

Mastic Gum is a plant resin obtained from the Pistacia lentiscus tree in the Greek island of Chios. This ancient ingredient is very rich in antioxidant and anti-inflammatory compounds. Its skin benefits include fighting the signs of photo-aging, improving skin clarity and radiance, reducing the appearance of pores and restoring sebum balance. Combined with this potent antioxidant in our formula are Vitamins B1, B2, B3, B5, B7, and B9, and 11 Amino Acids (including 8 Essential Amino Acids) to deliver streamlined skincare with unparalleled efficacy.

Camellia Sinensis Leaf Water, Glycerin, Water, Propanediol, Hippophae Rhamnoides Extract, Caprylic/Capric Triglyceride, Coco-caprylate/Caprate, Hydrogenated Lecithin, Cetearyl Alcohol, Helianthus Annuus Seed Oil, 1,2-Hexanediol, Glyceryl Stearate, Niacinamide, Stearic Acid, Lupinus Albus Seed Oil, Lupinus Albus Extract, Nicotinoyl Dipeptide-22, Pinus Pinaster Bark Extract, Scutellaria Baicalensis Root Extract, Paeonia Suffruticosa Root Extract, C14-28 Alkyl Acid, Panthenol, Sodium Olivoyl Glutamate, Triticum Vulgare Germ Oil Unsaponifiables, Behenyl Alcohol, Stearyl Alcohol, Arginine, Fucose, Acmella Oleracea Extract, Evodia Rutaecarpa Fruit Extract, Spilanthes Acmella Flower Extract, Carnitine, Ellagic Acid, Biotin, Butyrospermum Parkii Butter, Dipotassium Glycyrrhizate, Hydrogenated Olive Oil Unsaponifiables, Kigelia Africana Fruit Extract, Quillaja Saponaria Bark Extract, Pistacia Lentiscus Gum, sh-Polypeptide-64, Tocopherol, Glutathione, Carnosine, Glycine, Glutamine, Isoleucine, Leucine, Methionine, Phenylalanine, Serine, Threonine, Tryptophan, Valine, Folic Acid, Riboflavin, Thiamine HCL, Inositol, Calcium Chloride, Magnesium Sulfate, Potassium Chloride, Sodium Chloride, Sodium Pyruvate, Carbomer, Xanthan Gum, Adenosine, Cyclodextrin

This is a light cream textured product. Almost heavy gel cream or hint of gel meets light cream. It’s light overall but richer than the All-In-One-Concentrate. It has no discernible scent and comes in an airless pump so good checkmarks there. Whilst the other one is more of an anti-aging gel cream this is more of a light soothing cream. This one has a light yellow color. This product is focused on the B vitamins, amino acids and their patented mastic gum extract. Mastic gum is used in other products but they have a way they maximize the effectiveness of their compound k (in other formulas) and this ingredient through special technology hence the patents. Mastic gum is a resin that comes from the mastic tree. It’s soothing and an antioxidant.

This also has green tea, sea buckthorn, lupine (anti-aging), pine bark, skullcap, peony, ellagic acid, shea butter, licorice, the same two peptides, plus the amino acids (hydrating, soothing, anti-aging) and B vitamins (soothing). The original concentrate is definitely more peptide, elasticity/firming/line reducing style whereas this one is more soothing, antioxidant, barrier happy style. It’s still got things that firm and help with aging but it’s less targeted towards that. I notice with the original one my forehead lines definitely get less prominent, this one feels more happy barrier soothing style on my skin. If that makes any sense. You can use them together, use this one second. This is a great day cream for me but could be used at night for others.

I like both the concentrates. I lean a little more towards the All-In-One-Concentrate but this one is really nice especially now that I have way more sensitive skin than two years ago. In a nutshell I love VENN. They have patented technology that helps their products be more unique and effective (delivery systems and solubilization), their products work and the textures are nice. They’re good for sensitive skin as they’re all fragrance free (minus the facial oil) but still give good anti-aging results. They’re well formulated products which I like. Yes they’re pricey but compared to what’s out there–their pricing is really not that high. I haven’t met a VENN product I didn’t like (minus the facial oil but that’s due to my own sensitivity to EOs). When you sit down and compare VENN to say a high end department store brand–you’re getting way more for your money with VENN. In the long run you’re going to get more out of VENN. The products are solid and they work.

I received a few things when they first launched in PR but I buy all of my VENN now (I don’t get their PR anymore). I think that’s important to say as it means I got to try it, it was good, I purchased it more than once on my own. In a world where we have endless PR and products thrown at us, if you’re willing to buy it and toss out other (even pricey) PR for it–then it’s damn good. I’m actually almost out of my sleeping mask so I’ll be buying tube number three coming up. That mask is such a nice night cream. Review HERE. I’m also on number two of the cleanser which is a nice gel cream cleanser. Review HERE. The shampoo is nice but really needs a matching conditioner which I heard may happen eventually, I think it got delayed. Anyway, these two were nice, next I’ll be grabbing the mist and cica booster with another mask. Eventually I’m going to do a reconnect with the All-In-One-Concentrate. Kind of like a five year later review perhaps. Let me know if you’ve tried the brand and your favorite item.

  1. I always appreciate your thoughtful detailed product reviews. I should have waited on replenishing my vit c b/c now I want that age-response compound k booster! I love their cleanser. What a beautiful sensorial experience. Have and love the shampoo. The mist I wasn’t wow’d by. Adding to my wishlist will be the age-reversing concentrate, the age-response booster, and the hydrogel masks.
