Zelens started a color line last year. I love Zelens skincare, so I started with the Youth Glow Foundation, which is amazing, primers(review coming soon) and this Lip Glaze in Nude. Zelens says this is a "Long-lasting, collagen-building lip treatment with superior shine. Moisturizes and improves lip texture, volume and shape. Infused with antioxidants from green Shiso leaves to help shield against environmental assaults. Leaves lines smoother, fuller and deliciously coloured and glossy." The retail is $48 for a 8ml tube. Currently the color line is only available at Barney's in the US. There are a few UK websites that will ship to the US as well such as Zelens.com and Cultbeauty.co.uk.
The Lip Glaze is most like a cushy lip gloss. It's thicker, sticky, glossy and moisturizing. This has a slanted sponge tip wand making for easy application. It has a slight mint scent and taste. It has moderate pigment, not high like a lacquer gloss, but not a sheer gloss by any means. Nude is a cream neutral to cooler rose nude pink. There is no shimmer at all.
The beneficial ingredients are: hyaluronic acid, phospholipids, palmitoyl tripeptide-38, tripeptide-29, green shiso leaf extract, shea butter, kiss-me-quick extract, yeast extract, coconut triglyceride, sodium chondroitin sulfate, vitamin E, caprylyl glycol(fatty acid), pentaerythrityl tetra-di-t-butyl hydroxyhydrocinnamate(antioxidant), a few more fatty acids.
I like it, it's moisturizing, the applicator is great, I like the beneficial ingredients. I wish it was less tacky and more baume like. But that's just my tastes. I'm not a huge lip gloss fan anymore because of the stickiness. I prefer my lip products emollient and moisturizing, yet not getting my hair stuck in my lips all day long.
