Kat Burki Marine Collagen Gel: Review

I’ve been having quite a love affair with Kat Burki lately. My recent endeavor into her line is the Lift & Fill Form Control Marine Collagen Gel. I’m usually weary of products with the name collagen in the title. Collagen molecules are too big to penetrate the dermis layer of the skin. So putting them on your skin, especially when they cannot be absorbed, seems silly as it won’t bring your collagen back. Collagen is what makes our skin all plump and hydrated like babies, then we loose it over time. Our bodies stop producing it as rapidly.

As with all anti-aging skincare it’s an effort to still try and look like we’re in our 20s. I have noticed this loss of plumpness and change in my skin as I’m almost 39. While putting topical collagen on your skin will temporarily fill lines and wrinkles as well as hydrate and plump the skin, the key word is temporary. What you really need to so is use products that stimulate your own collagen production. That’s the key for collagen products.

Marine Collagen Gel does both of the above, provide some topical collagen for a temporary effect as well as provide ingredients that stimulate collagen production. Details per Kat Burki:

Clinically proven to transform your skin, this marine collagen gel contours less defined areas by encouraging correction to fill in shape and form. Offering maximum lift & fill, pure algae Keratin regenerates skin cells while Botanical Hyaluronic Acid fused with Silk Amino Acid Proteins instantly fills the epidermis to visibly smooth fine lines and wrinkles and improve elasticity. 14 known Collagen Boosters not only encourage skin cells to uptake the Marine Collagen for filling and plumping, but are also proven collagen generators to increase skin’s own collagen production. Further boosted by KB5™ Complex and Reishi Mushroom, Plant Stem Cells promote deep hydration.

The texture is a lightweight gel that’s hydrating and very quickly absorbed. It smells like a cucumber dream. The scent of Kat Burki’s products is seriously addicting. I could slather it all over my body all day, every day. I love the bottle, it’s a luxe green glass pump with a lovely iridescent shimmer. It’s luxe, slim and fits well in my medicine cabinet. I’m not going to lie–It’s pricey at $150 for a one ounce bottle. Kat Burki is a well done brand that uses potent natural ingredients. The cold pressing process sustains her products potency and they don’t use fillers like water, alcohol or dimethicone. Sometimes you get what you pay for.
I do notice a difference when I use this product. My skin feels plump, hydrated and more youthful. I’m addicted to the scent and I’m smitten. I would recommend to anyone looking for that radiant youthful plump glow as well as a boost of hydration. This is a hydrating serum on steroids combined with a natural anti-aging serum.
