Omorovicza Deep Cleansing Mask: Review

As I was redoing my hero product page I realized I’ve never talked about the Omorovicza Deep Cleansing Mask on it’s own. This product definitely deserves it’s own post as it’s a hero product of mine. A white clay mask to detoxify and brighten congested/oily skin. Details per Omorovicza:

Much more than a deep-cleansing facial treatment, this calcium and magnesium-rich mask clears congested pores and brightens tone as it draws out impurities. Moor mud purifies the skin without leaving it taut.

Key Benefits

  • Deeply cleanse and nourish the skin with Hungarian Moor mud, rich in calcium and magnesium carbonate.
  • Draw out toxins and impurities while naturally absorbing pore-clogging oil with white clay.
  • Leave skin firmer, more supple and younger-looking as Hydro Mineral Transference delivers minerals deep into the skin.
Directions Apply a generous amount to face and neck (avoiding the eye area). Leave on for 15-20 minutes then rinse thoroughly with a damp facial mitt or hand towel. Spa tip: excellent as an overnight spot treatment.

Skin types Dry, Oily, Combination/Normal

This mask has a light gray color with small flecks of black throughout. It’s thick but not so thick that it’s tough to spread. It has a mineral scent with some hints of fruit and fragrance. It’s very minimal and clean. Omorovicza has a light spa kind of scent, they never overdo the fragrance. This starts out creamy in texture then it dries down. While some clay masks get too dry for me when they dry down, this one does not. It still manages to feel hydrating while dry. That’s one of the main reasons I love it. Too many clay masks dry my skin down to feel even worse after using than they were to begin with. This one avoids that dry feeling.

It also works. The Moor mud and Hungarian Thermal Waters are just amazing on my skin. There’s something about the mineral content or something magical I don’t know. It just really makes my skin glow and clears my skin up. I will break out a day or two later after using this, which is normal. Anytime you use a detoxifying or clay/mud type product it brings whatever was sitting right below the surface (unseen blemishes–yuck) to the surface to get rid of them. Don’t use this a day or two before a big event or photo session. Maybe the week before. Give it time to bring the unpleasantries to the surface and then get rid of them.

This comes packaged in a weighty luxe glass jar and it lasts forever. I’m still on my first full size jar (I did go through several minis). What makes this a hero product for me is the ability for this to detoxify my skin well and do it without drying it out. I highly recommend at least trying a sample one day.
