Skinbetter Science InterFuse Treatment Cream

I’ve been playing with the Skinbetter Science line for the last year or so. It’s a medical grade skincare line, meaning you can’t buy it at a department store counter like Sephora. It has to be bought from a professionals office. There are a few places that sell it online but they require you email them about it as it can’t be a direct link type of online purchase. I get mine from Harben House. I’ve really been liking the line as it’s quite effective. The InterFuse Treatment Cream became a fast favorite of mine. Details per Harben House:

Skinbetter Science InterFuse Treatment Cream Face kick starts your body’s natural collagen production once again by utilizing skinbetter science’s revolutionary InterFuse patented technology. At a certain age collagen, the main structural protein found in skin, gradually becomes less abundant and is one part of the reason skin begins to visibly age. The daily cream’s blend of messenger peptides artificially signals the dip in collagen and stimulates the skin to produce more, thus resulting in a more youthful appearance with less lines and wrinkles. Surface smoothing is also encouraged by a neuro-calming peptide that works to relax facial muscles against possible wrinkle-causing facial expressions. The cream has a light-weight, breathable texture that leaves the skin, not only looking radiant, but feeling radiant, too.

Benefits:

  • The dermis’s connective tissue receives a boost to product more elastin and collagen with the assistance of messenger peptides
  • A neuro-calming peptide smooths wrinkles and firms skin
  • Antioxidants protect from and repair oxidative damage

Skinbetter’s packaging is as it should be, simple and airless pumps. The texture of this cream is phenomenal. It’s super light and leaves such a silky finish to the skin. It’s light and not heavy at all. It makes the perfect day cream. Seriously every time I wear this I just want to sit here rub my face all day it’s so silky smooth after using this cream. It’s pretty light though so it can be layered over another layer in the winter. I’ve been liking it over either Stratia Liquid Gold or African Botanics Cloudburst Micro-Emulsion. This light cream has almost no scent.

It has glycerin, dimethicone and a silicone as the occlusives for a seal. Don’t think of occlusives as a bad thing. That helps keep the hydrating layers in your routine on all day without evaporating. And occlusives aren’t totally occlusive they’re just partial still allowing your skin to breathe. Shea butter and olive fruit extract help moisturize the skin. Dipeptide Diaminobutyroyl Benzylamide Diacetate is a neuropeptide which causes facial muscles to relax and prevent the formation of expression lines. It’s a synthetic peptide to mimic a peptide found in snake venom that has muscle relaxing properties. Palmitoyl Tripeptide-5 & Palmitoyl Dipeptide-5 Diaminobutyroyl Hydroxythreonine are peptides for enhancing collagen production. Tetradecyl Aminobutyroylvalylaminobutyric Urea Trifluoroacetate is a synthetic tripeptide that helps boost the production of hyauronan a molecule important for hydrating the skin.

Overall I love the light texture of this cream. It’s perfect for days as it makes a flawless canvas for makeup application. It has plenty of great peptides to help keep your fine lines at bay and build collagen. It’s a little pricey but it’s like a serum and cream in one. It’s one of the more effective peptide products I’ve used recently. I do wish it was without denatured alcohol, but it’s low enough in the inci list it doesn’t seem to bother me. This is light enough that it can be layered, it plays well with other skin products while layering which increases its versatility. I like a more versatile product.
