Tom Ford Winter Soleil Warm Eye & Cheek Palette: Review & Swatches

Tom Ford’s Winter Soleil Collection featured two Eye and Cheek Palettesicon. The warm version seemed like me. Per Sephora: “An eye and cheek palette in a reflective, ivory-and-gold clutch. Create an array of luxurious looks with the Eye & Cheek Palette. It features four eye shadows, a highlighter, and a blush in two color waves: sultry, bronzed warm hues, and sweet, incandescent cool shades.”

The palette’s cheek products are a satin bright coral pink blush & shimmery pinked champagne highlighter. The blush has a touch of fine shimmer, but nothing really noticeable. It’s well pigmented, sooth and easy to apply. It’s not unique in any fashion. The gold champagne highlighter is fabulous. It’s not frosty at all, the shimmer is refined. It’s well pigmented and smooth. Both cheek products have a thin texture that’s very nice.

The eyeshadows are a shimmery gold, shimmery medium plummy brown, satin deep brown and the ultra glittery sheer tan. The eye shades are all neutral in tone, they’re not overtly warm. The gold and medium brown are well pigmented and smooth. The deep brown is sheer, and a bit patchy and harder to work with. The glittery shade is a neutral tan, it’s well pigmented for the usual Tom Ford glitter shade. I hate the glitters anyway they’re too much for me. I never use them.

The case is a lovely well done white and gold heavy duty case. As expected. Is it worth $155? Depends if you like all the shades or not. My favorites are the highlighter, medium and deep brown. I’m not a big gold person so I would have preferred a champagne or fun beige shade instead. I hate all the glitter shades Tom Ford and Charlotte Tilbury like to make so that’s a waste. The blush, while nice, is not a wearable shade for everyone. I would have loved to see a warm nude rose, or pinky brown instead. It would have been more wearable to more people. Not everyone likes a bright strong pink coral. That medium brown is my favorite, and my favorite Tom Ford eyeshadow to date.
