I love Zelens skincare. Z Luminous Brightening Serum is the latest product I’ve finished from their line. Details per Zelens:

This serum is for brightening the complexion, evening the skin tone. This is going to work on dullness and basic pigmentation issues. This is not for people with melasma. You can use it if you have melasma, but it won’t fix it. It will help with any other dullness pigmentation issues you have. The texture is a thin light creamy serum. It has a very faint very Zelens like smell. Which means it’s minimal and pleasant. It’s never heavy or greasy, it’s light and absorbs quickly into the skin.
Does this work? Yes. Not only is it choked full of amazing active ingredients(as always for Zelens) it will brighten your skin tone and reduce normal pigmentation-minus melasma sufferers like myself sorry. I love that this isn’t harsh like some brightening products. It feels more like an anti-aging serum than just a brightening serum. It comes packaged in a sleek frosted glass bottle with a pump. Perfect packaging for me.
This is a little pricey. However, it’s quite good. I would repurchase. Like any anti-aging skincare product this is not going to make all your skin care issues go away. It can make them better, in this case evening your skin tone to a nice glowy finish.
Active Ingredients
Niacinamide: Also known as Vitamin B3, this potent cell-communicating molecule provides multiple benefits for the skin: reduces the appearance of hyperpigmentated spots and red blotchiness, evens skin tone, improves skin’s elasticity enhance its barrier function.
Resorcinol: Decreases melanin content of the skin and provides excellent brightening-lightening effect. Reduces the appearance of dark spots and evens the skin tone.
Zinc-Glycine Complex: Demonstrates strong brightening-whitening properties. Significantly reduces melanocyte proliferation and melanin production. Zinc demonstrates anti-inflammatory properties.
Phytic Acid: A naturally-derived acid sourced from rice. Possesses mild exfoliating properties and promotes skin renewal process.
Hyaluronic acid: An important natural component of skin. Zelens uses a low-molecular weight hyaluronic acid (HA) with unique moisturising properties. HA improves skin moisture, helps to retain and maintain skin elasticity and reduces the appearance of wrinkles.
Vitamin E: An antioxidant with a key role in the protection of cellular membranes from free radicals. It is the major antioxidant in the human epidermis with strong protective effects against UV-induced skin damage.
Bisabolol: An active molecule extracted from Camomile. Possesses strong antioxidant, anti-irritant, anti-inflammatory and anti-microbial properties.
Silanols: Organic silicium-based compounds. Help to reconstruct skin architecture by stimulating collagen production and enhancing cellular communication between keratinocytes and fibroblasts.
Squalane: Derived from olives, this active ingredient demonstrates strong antioxidant properties, helps fortify the skin barrier and improve skin hydration.
Silica: A trace mineral that helps strengthen skin connective tissues resulting in increased skin elasticity. Absorbs sweat and oil and prevents light reflection.
Pearl: Containing 16 essential amino-acids, proteins and polysaccharides, this hydrolised pearl powder helps maintain high moisture level while promoting skin smoothness and radiance. Pearl has excellent brightening properties.
