So it’s been a long time since one of these posts went up. I’ve been using a lot of stash items but recently I did get a bunch of new creams that are actually really spectacular. Dr Sam’s Flawless Revival Mask is a leave on or wash off mask. I use it like an overnight cream. It’s glossy and rich yet thin. It lasts all night and is really nourishing without being too heavy. It’s a bit more emollient or lipid rich than their original cream so if you’re a fan of that one think slightly heavier version. It’s fragrance free and very sensitive skin friendly. Glossier After Baume is their newest cream. I never thought I would like a Glossier cream but I do. It’s affordable and so thick and rich. This is for dry skin. It thick and lasts all night like a comforting blanket. It’s not greasy or heavy though. Really just a really rich thick cream. It almost rivals La Mer’s original cream but without the mineral oil and scent.
Naturium launched a new soothing line and the Marshmallow Root Barrier Balm is utter perfection. A cushiony cream meets serum meets balm. It’s not heavy or greasy but it’s really nourishing and soothing. Easily the best cream they’ve made to date. Speaking of the brand and the new soothing line (which is really good all of the items) they also launched a soothing Vitamin K Liposome Serum 3% which is a soothing redness reducing serum. It’s affordable and accessible which I love. Plus the texture is great and I thought it worked. Review HERE. Dieux launched a new cream to their line. Instant Angel moisturizer is glossy and lush. It’s lipid rich but not too heavy or greasy. It almost has that cream with a hint of gel texture or cream meets serum texture. Very glossy and even though it’s nourishing and lipid rich it’s not heavy or greasy. I really love some of the textures that are coming out for moisturizers. They’re really juicy and nice. I started using the Drunk Elephant Sweet Biome Fermented Sake Spray and I actually really like it. The mist is really really fine and it’s got no fragrance, so it’s just a nice layering mist with prebiotics that’s good for the skin barrier. I’ve been plowing through it. SkinBetter Even serum is not new for me, this is my second tube. It’s been a while though and now I remember why I like it. It’s creamy and light plus it really works for me. Best of all it’s not irritating for me unlike some others. It’s pricey yes, but so far with twice a day use I’m going to get about 9-10 weeks out of it. Review HERE.
I grabbed a bronzer. I haven’t used a bronzer in about 7 years. I saw the Makeup by Mario Softsculpt Transforming Skin Enhancer at Sephora and it was the right moment for me to look at a bronzer. This is a cream bronzer that’s a little bit sheer. I like how it’s buildable and less pigmented than other cream bronzers. It’s a great one not only for beginners but for anyone who doesn’t like heavy bronzer. I have shade Light Medium. I also love how neutral the color is, no real orange or red tones. It looks very natural on and I’m obsessed. This is every bit worth the hype it’s been getting. It doesn’t feel greasy or heavy on the skin either. So buildable, natural tone, natural look and it sets to not feel heavy on the skin. It’s a win win all around. I’m a huge cream eyeshadow stick nut and these are the ones I’ve been using the most. They’re all shimmering mid-tone brown or taupe shades which is my favorite color of eyeshadow. These are all stellar cream eyeshadows, they last all day, stay put and don’t crease–even in this Texas summer heat and humidity.
