Summer is always the best time to grab a few new highlighters. Natasha Denona just released a new Super Glow Highlighter. I started by grabbing both Fair and Light Medium but Fair is just way to light for my skin tone. Light Medium #2 is described as a nude champagne which is pretty accurate. I love that it has a more neutral tone with no strong warm or gold overtones. This is not a highlighter for the person who wants subtle. This is a bold highlighter that has the most divine finely milled powder texture. It has crushed chroma crystals and pearls in it which give this the most intense light reflecting effect. I thought I would hate it because I like subtle but I love the original Natasha Denona powder highlighter so I wanted to try it. If you don't apply with a very heavy hand it does give a powerful sheen but manages to be subtle to some degree. It works.
RODIN oIio lusso Mermaid Luxury Illuminating Liquid is the perfect golden seashell pink highlighter for summer. I love the summery bottle, it is glass with a pump so it's very luxe. Plus the design is very fun for summer if you like beachy stuff. This can be added to foundation to add a hint of glow, or used as an all over layer below foundation to add a hint of shimmer. You can also use it as a liquid highlighter. It's fairly pigmented but it won't make you too blingy. It's a perfect depth for my light medium skin tone.
Just thought I'd feature Allies of Skin Bright Future again. You all know by now how much I love this brand. Bright Future is a once a week to once a month brightening treatment. You apply 2 or 3 nights in a row either once a week or once a month even. I use it once or twice a month for a radiance boost. This combines AHA, retinol and probiotics to resurface skin while you sleep. I used it three nights last week. Review HERE. I've been playing with a few products from the Sally Hershberger 24K line. 24K Golden Touch Nourishing Dry Oil has become a most reached for item to tame that summer frizz. This has a thicker oil texture that smooths ends, hydrates, adds shine and keeps frizz to a minimum even in the Texas summer humidity. It has precious oils, goji berry and amber, coconut oil, colloidal gold, ginkgo biloba & Tahitian Gardenia. It's a thicker oil texture and it does have silicone in the form of cyclopentasiloxane which helps give it some longevity.
Miller Harris is a British fragrance brand that makes some of my all time favorite scents. L'Eau Magnetic is a bewitching sea scent. Light as a salty beach air with a crisp warm edge. Notes-Top: baies roses, bergamot, lemon. Heart: petit grain, cedre bois blanc. Base: accord tabac, vanille bourbon, tonka bean. I talked about it HERE. I'm a huge cleansing balm fan as of late and the Moss Skincare Beurre Celeste Cleansing Balm is just divine. It came in my June Boxwalla subscription box and I talked about it HERE. I'm totally addicted to this rinsable honey infused cleansing balm. Its a quick favorite.
Tata Harper Clarifying Moisturizer is perfect for summer. The lightweight lotion is formulated to provide lightweight hydration with a matte finish. This lotion combines sage (anti-microbial), lactobacillus ferment, zinc and copper pca & willow bark extract (balance the skin) plus light oils and hyaluronic acid to hydrate. During the July summer this has been a nice light lotion to keep my skin clear in the blistering heat. I talked about it HERE.
VENN Skincare is new to me. They sent me their Age-Reversing All-In-One Concentrate and while I'm in the middle of testing it I can say the ingredients list is amazing so I wanted to talk about it once. This has a light creamy serum texture so it could be a lotion or cream if you have oily skin. I need to layer over it at night it's not quite enough for me alone. This product contains multiple antioxidants like green tea catechins, gluthione and compound K from ginseng. I love that this combines multiple peptides and other herbal ingredients for collagen production, brightening the skin tone as well as general anti-aging. More to come on this after I finish it.
